I no longer edit this site because I have serious doubts that wikipedia can ever be taken seriously as an encyclopedia. It's far too easy for people to control "the truth" as they see it by taking ownership of articles. This website has a lack of oversight that is offensive. I also believe it is incredibly distasteful for the site's founder to solicit donations in the way that he has and as often as he has; essentially, he put banners with his smug face with messages like "help keep wikipedia free, donate now". Yeah, that makes plenty of sense: "pay me now, so you don't have to end up paying later". He should have put his ego aside and implemented Larry Sanger's concept of Citizendium on this website or done something like Scholarpedia instead of keeping the unreliable, free-for-all mess of an encyclopedia that this is. When some things are left too open and without accountability, they have a tendency to get exploited, and that is exactly what has happened here.
