Travis Harris is a crusty, retired educator, who bides his time between the Texas Panhandle and the Pacific Northwest. His hair is a little too long, his beard a little too white, and his belly a little too round. However, as long he can still fit on his old Harley, and provide a soft spot for his granddaughter (who thinks he looks like Santa Claus) to lay her head, then that's all right with him. He hates cats, except for his own. That one's okay. He likes listening to classic country and reads his share of classic literature. He loves history, mystery, and military intrigue. He also quietly admits to watching and reading a lot of sci-fi, and is too old to care what anyone thinks about it. After all, he would not likely be typing on this newfangled computer, if ol' Wells and Verne hadn't dreamed.
