User Information

Namaste, My Peoples.

No idea where to start really,

Ok we will start with the basics shall we?, My name is Tony, i am from South Yorkshire, UK and i am a Graphic Designer with interests in Football Kits, Games/Gaming & lots of other things too numerable to mention here so i will create a new section for it.

I am a proud Yorkshireman, and proud of my counties contributions to the worlds of Sport & Railways, and i am quite knowledgeable in these topics, i am also knowledgeable in a wide variety of topics like Astronomy, History, Biology/Medicine among other things, but i will neither claim to be an expert in these fields nor do i consider them my main areas of expertise, not above topics pertaining to my profession, or above the more grounded category's that i can contribute information on, again i wont list all of my fields of interest here in this section

Now to be quite honest the one thing i know nothing of is Wikipedia editing, i am just learning really, indeed it is a surprise to me that i have gotten this far into editing my user page, at the moment i have just been content to contribute by offering opinions on talk pages about articles but i am trying to learn how to edit competently and do intend to continue and hopefully get better, in fact i recently composed my first full edit, Novar plc

I am quite a grounded person overall, having worked in warehousing for most of my life, whilst i consider my education quite high i hold no aspirations above my current station

That's about it for now, except to say that maybe i will catch you around on talk pages and the like, dont be afraid to talk to me, i can come across as abrasive but im a nice person when you get to know me,

Now on a side note, if i you are here because i "slighted" you in some way, please dont misunderstand, i come across as abrasive but its only because i believe in telling the truth to people regardless of how it makes them feel, in a way its because i care, some people do not seem to get this but as we say here in Yorkshire "be reet" lol, ....catch you later

My Editing Style.

Well for the most part, my editing style has been shall we say ...nonexistent up until now, i only ever make slight corrections weather it be to correct the occasional factoid, or to make something read slightly better by changing the odd word, now this is because i dont trust my own grammar and spelling enough to compose an article (more on that in a little bit), but i have recently begun to branch out,

If i could describe my style i would say i make several small edits and then i check my work, if you are copy-editing what i have recently written you are better off checking to see if the article is still open for edit before you revert it because the chances are your reverts will only get overwritten when i finish, thats just advice ...i mostly preview my work beforehand, but i have been known to save my work sometimes so that changes are not lost by an unexpected computer crash, especially in cases where i have been editing for a number of hours,

Now i understand that this probably dosnt make for good Wikipedia etiquette, and if anyone has any problems with this i urge you to tell me on my talk page, i dont mind criticism as long as it is constructive, and its the only way i am going to learn what i am doing wrong at the end of the day,

I will however most likely need someone to check my grammar, you see whilst i have a desire to become a better contributor this dosnt exactly line up to me wanting to be a writer in any way shape or form, i learned English at school but all this has ever amounted to is that i can speak the damn language, i have about as much knowledge on how to produce a grammatical sentence in English as i do in French, German and Latin (all subjects i know a few words/phrases of) and it often leads me to ramble when explaining simple things,

But as i have always said, i would rather write walls of text to get my point across then write a 3 word reply, and that anyone with the idiotic notion that grammar and spelling indicates intelligence level (most of the internet it seems) is most likely an idiot themselves, i have gotten by just fine without it so far, of course this does not mean i dont try to apply it or that i wont try to apply it here ....just that i do not value the skill, nor do i value those that think me an idiot for not, im sure their are plenty of examples of Dyslexic Professors or Mathematicians with rotten syntax out their in history to prove my point,

However, this does not mean i do not respect grammar in any way, shape or form, its is just that i haven't had many situations in my life where i have expressly needed to use it, and a lot of situations where i have been spoken down to on the internet because mine is poor, thus i have developed even more of an alienation to it as a result,

Take that as you will, but it does mean that checking my articles for mistakes is a good idea if i am being honest, but as i say previously dont be afraid to hit up my talk page if you have any grievances you wish to discuss,
