Keith Gustin (born June 23, 1992) is an American underground hip hop MC. He cites Tupac Shakur, Nas, A Tribe Called Quest, Rakim, Naughty by Nature, J. Cole, Fashawn, Asher Roth, Kid Cudi, Mac Miller, Wiz Khalifa, KRS-One, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Curren$y, The Cool Kids, Pac Div, Eminem[1] and Kanye West[2] among his influences. Gustin released his first mixtape titled The Present Mixtape on MediaFire on December 24, 2010[3] and on DatPiff.com on January 6, 2011.[4] Gustin also released a second mixtape called Always Baked, Never Fried[5] is going to be released, but an exact release date is yet to be given. His first single off of the mixtape was released on March 19, 2011 and is called "Livin' It Up".[6] Gustin is often compared to his main influence, Asher Roth.[7]

Keith Gustin was born on June 23, 1992 in Bonney Lake, Washington. Growing up he delt with various social struggles which are often a subject in his music. Gustin attended and graduated from White River High School in 2010. Gustin started rapping in 2009 while still a teenager in high school.

Music persona

Gustin is often compared to Asher Roth in the sense how he raps about normal topics and performs more of a hipster hop type of genre in some of his music. Keith Gustin claims to be influenced by Roth. He has often refered to himself as a "backpack rapper." Gustin also comments on his "90s vibe" type of hip hop music.
