Amber Summer Corbett (born February 15, 2000) is an American beauty pageant titleholder. She has held Miss United States New York Junior Teen (2015), Miss New York Earth Teen (2017) titles and First Runner Up Teen New York USA (2016). Amber represented the United States at Miss Intercontinental 2023 in Egypt and was the first African American woman to the US at the pageant’s 51 year's history.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
Early life and education
[edit]Amber was born and educated in Westchester County, New York. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Pace University's Lubin School of Business[8][9] in 2022, graduating Cum Laude. Her major was in Advertising and Integrated Marketing Communications, complemented by a minor in Digital Marketing.[10]
Philanthropy and volunteerism
[edit]Amber has volunteered with several non-profit organizations including Andrus Foundation,[11] which provides a sanctuary for children to prevent and overcome the effect of childhood adversity, and the People Connect Foundation to create opportunities for underprivileged youth to travel beyond their borders.[12] She is a two-time recipient of President Obama's Volunteer Service Award[13].
Pageantry achievements
[edit]Amber has held Miss United States New York Junior Teen (2015), Miss New York Earth Teen (2017), and the First Runner Up Teen New York USA (2016)[14]. She represented the United States as Miss Intercontinental 2023 in Egypt[15][16][17][18][19][20]. She was the first African American woman to represent the United States in the pageant's 51-year existence.[21]
Her pageant titles include Miss Galaxy New York (2021), Miss Galaxy New York Teen[22] (2017), and the 4th runner-up position at the international pageant, Miss Earth New York Teen[23] (2018). Notable early titles include Miss United States New York Jr Teen (2015) and Miss International Junior Miss Junior Teen (2014).[24]
