Pages improved
[edit]- Divine Comedy navbox (before vs after)
- List of English translations of the Divine Comedy
- Calls for a ceasefire during the Israel–Hamas war
- Probably more
I've also created some redirects and uploaded a lot of files that I can't show here. I've probably never made a bad edit. Lead figure in the 2024 "Drake–Kendrick Lamar feud" talk page infobox feud.
To do
[edit]Current drafts
[edit]Articles that should exist
[edit]- Remaining circles of hell (4, 5, 6, 7, 9)
- Remaining Malebranche (
Cagnazzo,Ciriatto, Draghignazzo, Farfarello, Graffiacane, Libicocco, Rubicante)
FL saga
[edit]Goal: bring List of English translations of the Divine Comedy to featured status (previously submitted and withdrawn)
Add real introduction giving background on what the Divine Comedy isAdd "publisher" column to list (maybe)minor stuffAdd citation for Ciardi noteSeparate red links for Robert and Jean HollanderAdd "with time" to the end of the first paragraph
Remove ormake articles for redlinks- Easy links to drafts: Jean Hollander, Jefferson Butler Fletcher[2]
- Add photos to articles for translators where possible (probably not necessary, but a fun way to spend a couple evenings)
Actually submit it[3]- Convert "notes" column into prose section
A thought
[edit]I don't have the time rn, but it would be amazing to start a WikiProject Dante for improving the coverage of the writer in the English Wikipedia. Some general goals would be completing some of the tasks above, getting articles such as Dante Alighieri, Divine Comedy, and Inferno (Dante) to featured status, and expanding articles for various modern scholars and characters in the Comedy. (After all, "Dante and Shakespeare divide the modern world between them...")
Current drafts
[edit]Places I could take photos of
[edit]- Sigma Sound Studios (specifically the marker)
- Banneker Institute (also has a marker)
Articles that need expanding
[edit]Miscellaneous
[edit]- Add images to articles listed in User:The Midnite Wolf/Articles that need images
- Finish Draft:Magoo (rapper) and Draft:Goffin and King
- Remove hatnotes that violate WP:RELATED at the top of every local US election article (like the one currently at the top of 2022 United States Senate election in Pennsylvania)
- Expand Hi, How Are You and Stratosphere (Duster album)
- Finish whatever this is (impossible)
- This
Notes
[edit]- ^ Easily the most popular thing I've done on here, for better or worse
- ^ the most detailed source for Fletcher seems to be a paywalled scan of a NYT obituary, so this one is on hold for now
- ^ Idea: upload every public domain translation of the divine comedy to wikisource so people can more easily access and compare them side by side. Would this be possible? Desirable? Much to think about
