The Bahamas Department of Meteorology is the national meteorological organization of the Bahams, working under the Ministry of Transport and Aviation of the Government of the Bahamas.

History

In 1935, the Bahamas Telecommunications Department and United States Weather Bureau jointly established a network of weather observation stations to record and disseminate information.^[1]
