Homeschooling
Yes - it looks as though the objection is that individuals should not be included in this list unless it can be shown that they were specifically homeschooled despite having the alternative of free public education. For many individuals in those time periods, this may not have been an alternative that was available to them. Black Kite 10:31, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for your quick reply, one of my issues is the warning above, can anyone just give them while they are not allowed to be removed? Secondly about the list, how big may such a list be in an article and/or at what point should it be moved to a separate article? Would the latter be allowed? Species8473 (talk) 10:47, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
Feel free to...
...remove anything you like (or dont) from your talk page. (I came here by following a discussion on User: Diligent Terrier's talk page) While its usually best that the person who gave the warning come by and strike through it if they feel that you have explained you case, if you truly believe it to be unwarranted, then you are more then welcome to remove it. If you check out the Talk Page Guidelines you will see that you are free to remove anything you want to, although archiving is best. I believe you have more then explained your side of the issue, and you could always restore the warning with a note at the bottom of it explaining that you had tried to reason with the person who added the template, but in the end, that person was unresponsive. That might be best, as when people some looking through your history later and see you removed a warning, they'll wonder why.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know. You seem to be a new user with a good heart.

- Hello Queerbubbles, and thanks for your comments! I was hoping Diligent Terrier would remove the warning himself, or give me a reply at least. But I consider it settled now. Anyone wondering why it was removed can go here - Species8473 (talk) 21:57, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Edit war warning
The message I placed on your talk page was not necessarily a warning, but rather a notice to notify you about the Three revert rule. - DiligentTerrier (and friends) 23:06, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
- In the end, he's allowed to remove anything he wants to. Your putting it back is bad form. Qb | your 2 cents 23:08, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
- Considering you ignored comments on your talk page for over a week. While a specific request for a quick response was attached, and your edit history reveals you were active on wikipedia. Your statement on it not necessarily being a warning I will take as acknowledgment your action was indeed unjustified. As you clearly wrote it to be one in the edit summary. Thanks again for not going into my comments on your talk page, and your attempt to further inflame this by re-adding the warning. Species8473 (talk) 01:10, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
- The edit summary that you've cited was automatically generated by Twinkle. I re-added the comment so it was evident as to what I was talking about. Please try to assume good faith, I never intentionally ignored you. - DiligentTerrier (and friends) 02:40, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
- However, you declined to answer his request, and then re-added a warning that he had removed after a goodly amount of time. You have single handedly created wikidrama that is not needed. He removed it, you were remiss to re add it. Its simple. Stop feeding the flames. Qb | your 2 cents 12:36, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

- I did not intentionally decline his request. I'm interested in knowing why you think it was wrong for me to add it. Did you even read my reply? Your failure to assume good faith and claiming that you know what I was thinking is very disturbing. - DiligentTerrier (and friends) 17:07, 14 June 2008
- Never said that I pretended to know what you were thinking. It was wrong for you to add it because he had removed it. Period. End of discussion. Stop this pointless drama. And please sign your responses. Qb | your 2 cents 17:16, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
- You did say that I declined to answer his request, however, at the time I was busy both in real life and on Wikipedia, and it somehow slipped through my to-do list. And what pointless drama are you talking about? You're the one who started this. And no, it was acceptable for me to re-add the notice, because that is what I was talking about. You, however, have not addressed your failure to assume good faith, and you continue to believe I have intentionally violated Wikipedia policy. Please cite what you mean. Thank you. - DiligentTerrier (and friends) 17:21, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
- Archiving your talk page would probably help with missing conversations. This is not your first issue with not reading messages, as evident with the problems you are having with Unschool. Cite policy where you shouldnt replace messages which have been removed? WP:TPG#User_talk_pages Is that good for you? He removed the warning. He had issue with it. There was no reason for you to replace it. Your argument that you were replacing it to discuss what you were talking about is ridiculous. There was no need. You need to stop making drama now. Its a little old. I will not respond to anything else regarding this stupid stupid argument. Qb | your 2 cents 17:28, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but I'm missing your point with the link to WP:TPG#User_talk_pages. What drama are you talking about? You continue to say I have made a mistake, yet you do not come up with a valid reason. Instead, you call me stupid, and say you will no longer respond. Is that because you are avioding my questions? - DiligentTerrier (and friends) 17:59, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
- The warning was intended to be just a notice, and stated as warning beyond your control. You didn't go into the comments on your talk page, and a follow up reminder, because you forgot, and were busy with other things. Restoring the warning was merely because you wanted to make evident what you were talking about. And it slipped your mind that I clearly wrote both here and on your talk page that I didn't want it. It absolutely had nothing to do with some lines I wrote on the homeschooling talk page minutes before. It's all perfectly plausible (more or less). So let's settle for that. And not start an argument on avoiding questions, or personal attacks that aren't there. Species8473 (talk) 01:28, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

Third Opinion
Hi, I noticed you removed Isaac Brock (musician) from the 3rs opinion request page. Was there a resolution? Please advise. Thank you.--Startstop123 (talk) 20:54, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- Hey Startshop123, I removed it after looking into the issue, but before writing the third opinion. As this is advised by by the WP:3O guidelines, with the intention of avoiding double work by other editors. The third opinion has now been provided as well. Species8473 (talk) 21:03, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, I just noticed. Thank you for your opinion and I have removed the info. all together to avoid controversy.--Startstop123 (talk) 21:07, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
Reliable Sources Question
I mean, like when I create a page for an album, some people do not count websites like rapbasement.com or hiphopdx.com as reliable, when they are two of the most respected hip hop sites on the net. Y5nthon5a (talk) 05:07, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
- If you have a dispute over reliability of a source, it's best if you discuss it with other editors on the talk page of the article. When you can't come to a consensus, you can ask the help of other editors on the reliable sources noticeboard. It also pays of to look through the reliable sources article some time, it will help you to make a good judgements, and you can refer to it when you are in a dispute with other editors. I believe the issue here though are the entries at WikiProject Spam > 1 2. You appear to be adding the links a lot, and for that being monitored and listed by the bot. Species8473 (talk) 05:28, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
Jujutsu link
I removed the link as it is about a single Jujutsu organisation in one country. There are at least a dozen big ones in the US and the same again globaly, linking to a specific organisations website is fine in an article on them or if there are 1 or 2 organisations but if there are potentially hundreds of equally valid links then the only way to be fair is to include none, and only link to articles that pass the notability criteria and put the external link there (see the list of modern styles). While this is not explicit in WP:EL as it is not clear if the link is just advertising, it is in the spirit of it. Hope that explains things. --Nate1481(t/c) 10:23, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
Third opinion comments
Hi there. I thanked you at the talk page for the third opinion. Just wanted to comment here that this was the first time I had used WP:3O, though I had heard of it before. I will be using it more in future, as it is really refreshing to get a third view when only a small number are discussing something. I might also try and stop by WP:3O and contribute. It should be on my watchlist now anyway. Carcharoth (talk) 16:22, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
Using Wikipedia for irrelevant chat
Hi, I noticed a comment of yours and was wondering what that has to do with anything here on Wikipedia. I'm not saying it's wrong, but remember that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a place to share all of your weird personal experiences. This is not a warning, it is simply just advice that I'd suggest for you to take. I personally believe there's nothing wrong with stopping by to say hello to other editors, but know that there's others that feel differently; but Wikipedia is still not a place just to chat. - DiligentTerrier (and friends) 00:18, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for leaving me a notice that there are others who feel differently. I will try to keep in mind that user talk pages are only to be filled with newsletters, notifications that the summer time has started, and ofcourse for advertising your weblog and persuading people to read it. 123456789 And I didn't even have to monitor your talk page all the time for hitting upon that. Sad to see you go, I'm sure going to miss you coming here for some drama every now and then. =Species8473= (talk) 00:54, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
- DT really doesnt have a leg to stand on telling you not to randomly converse with folks. I direct you to RyRy's talk page archives for more evidence. I stopped holding him in any kind of respect after the Great Cabal Debate and his immaturity. Doesnt seem to matter though, he's "retired" like most of the other silly "myspace" kiddies. Qb | your 2 cents 16:07, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
- Don't be so hard on him, he was only giving me a notice. And actually is fine with it himself, as shows. And I shouldn't have spammed you with that. The only excuse I have is that I was tired. Instead I have now posted it on myspace. I do hope you like my new header! And, when are you going to offer to adopt me :( ? =Species8473= (talk) 05:31, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
- I dont do adoptions... I was turned off by all of that crap with my run in with RyRy and the subsequent issues that came from it. Although, I would suggest you hit up User:Steve Crossin or User:Useight... both are great folks who have that adoption thing downpacked. ;) Qb | your 2 cents 11:55, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
- I had a look at the thing with RyRy5, and that wasn't nice. Seems like you got really unlucky. I do think you would be perfect for adoptions, maybe some time in the future if you feel like it. I'm not dying over getting adopted (or not) myself. It seems that common sense, in combination with reading the policies and guidelines a bit, gets you far enough. And you got there without adoption as well. Even though it seems everyone has to hit upon a rare RyRy5 or 24.205.234.250 incident - most people are really friendly and helpful. =Species8473= (talk) 16:31, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Righteous Among the Nations template
Again, many thanks for your input. It would appear that Poeticbent and I are at an impass, and so I have brought the disagreement to the attention of the associated WikiProjects and have made a request for Comment. 99.242.171.73 (talk) 14:46, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
Deletion
Please, no deletion unless I have violated an issue. I am new to learning this Wiki coding. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alantauber (talk • contribs) 06:59, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Alantauber, I hit upon your userpage today. And got the impression of it being used as personal webspace. For that I have listed it at miscellany for deletion. The actual decision is not up to me, but will be made by an administrator. If you want to protest, it's best to leave a message there. A click on this link, will take you right to the edit screen. Don't forget to sign your message with four tildes (~~~~), then your name and the time will be added at the end. =Species8473= (talk) 08:25, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

my wiki
--Alantauber 09:20, 26 June 2008 (UTC) Thank you for trying to explain this all to me. I will read all of the info and consult with people who will probably understand it all much more than I do. You are correct in that I was thinking that I, alan tauber, should have a presence on wiki and it appears as a website listing, I guess. I have plenty of websites for that. SO i need to figure out why others seem to have similar things and not get into trouble. I have contributed to other sites. SO I am learning but slowly.
Thak you for being understanding.
I will figure this out.
best, ALan Tauber --Alantauber 09:20, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, but please don't take further action on my account.
I fully accept the reality check provided by your third opinion. Thank you again. David in DC (talk) 18:26, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
Vandalism 1.1
You passed the course with 85.7142857. The reason for you not getting 100% was that on question four you said to use a vandalism warning template. As the question was "if a user removed or blanked all the content from a page" you should have given the user a uw-delete1 warning. This is only a very minor mistake and a common mistake as well. A link for more information on warning templates is here. If you need more help then just ask me again on my talk page. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 12:29, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
1.2
During this task you manually edited one of the user warns. Firstly I recommend against doing this. If you want to say more about an action I suggest that you do it underneath the warning. Check your adoption page for your updates. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 20:14, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
- In the past I have written messages myself in such cases, but I found {{subst:uw-talkinarticle}} now for talk in articles. It doesn't seem like huggle has a ready made option for that. I take templates like {{subst:uw-talkinarticle}}, can be used via the other summary option in huggle? =Species8473= (talk) 21:14, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
- One way you could send those to a user / the user you are currently on is by clicking the "send user message" buton. If you cant find it ask me and ill show you :>. Is Also is there any chance that you could fill in the interests on User:Addshore/Adoption/Species8473. Thanks. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 08:55, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

MILF edits
Hi, donno what's going on here. I was simply adding in the definition for 'MILF', an acronym with the famouse 'F' word for the last character. It's not vandalism, it's a literal definition. What's all this about? Lallysingh (talk) 11:59, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
- Hello Lallysing, sorry but I wrongly identified your edit as vandalism. I will remove the warning from your userpage. Hope that settles it, and wish you a good day. =Species8473= (talk) 12:05, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
- I see that after this an anonymous user added it too (in a similar way), but that was reverted by User:Cst17. It may be wise to propose it at Talk:MILF instead of just adding again. Otherwise more reverts may follow, even though I personally think it's a genuine entry at the page. =Species8473= (talk) 12:21, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Great Power
Hello. The edit I made was justified. There is no reason to believe that China cannot be classified as a Middle Power anymore than Russia, France and UK. The edit I made was simply a correction of what someone had removed themselves. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Colliver55 (talk • contribs) 11:02, 10 July 2008 (UTC) I have now added references. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Colliver55 (talk • contribs) 20:22, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

- I would, but I'm about to go on a wikibreak (leaving for vacation). I did browse through the list of sources already. And even though they could use formatting and polishing. It doesn't seem as problematic as it was with the other article. =Species8473= (talk) 17:57, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
