Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 16:07, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Hello. I have closed your request for adminship early, because at this point, it was clear that it had no chance of succeeding. Do not be disheartened; many of our finest admins failed one or more RfAs before they were successful. For guidance, see the guide to requesting adminship and the administrators' reading list. Generally, RfA candidates are expected to have a few thousand edits and at least 6 months of experience. Good luck, and feel free to ask me for any questions and/or advice. Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Abike Dabiri. Our verifiability policy requires that all content be cited to a reliable source. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:10, 1 December 2009 (UTC)

I sincerely can't figure out how to add a 'Reliable Reference';if so,i could have done that. I would appreciate if you could please give me a step-by-step procedure of doing this. Olusegun 18:03, 19 December 2009 (UTC) I do not appreciate anybody deleting part of this article for reasons of "Unreferenced link" or whatever. I seek permission from owners of information from websites before making mindless lifting. I am currently waiting on her personal assistant to approve my request to source her website as a link. Deleting any part of this article and making me re-write it is an action i find strenous. I am requesting that this article be left un-tampered with until i get through with information verification of it... Olusegun 09:02, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

File source problem with File:Olusegun.JPG

Thanks for uploading File:Olusegun.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 05:31, 1 December 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 05:31, 1 December 2009 (UTC)

The article Obiwon has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Highly questionable notability. Peacocking, extreme claims-- even those claims do not necessarily show notability. "References" as myspace and official site are not actually references.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. daTheisen(talk) 18:15, 18 December 2009 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello Evolutionofmankind! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 317 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Saheed Osupa - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 20:21, 16 January 2010 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Money Ritual, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. gaidheal1 (talkcontribs) 15:54, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

I moved this to your userspace User:Evolutionofmankind/Money_Ritual so that you can work on it. This way you won't run the risk of it being deleted. When it's sourced and expanded, feel free to move it back. Thanks, Dlohcierekim 21:32, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

I normally try to rescue an article if I can figure it out. I can't find a source for this, and it's doomed to be speedily deleted as nonsense. Please add a relibale source for this. Or contavt me or the deleting admin if it goes away. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 16:02, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

Adoption

Greetings Sidewinder/archive1, I see you're up for adoption, and I'm in the market. If ever you need advice or answers, just ask me -- any question, any time. I'd like to help however I can. Happy editing - Draeco (talk) 19:16, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the offer. I know nothing about this site beyond making minor edits- like correcting punctuation and grammatical blunders. First, let's start with templates: How do i use them, how do i make mine? Please check my User Page and see how everything is disorganized. Could you please organise it for me and explain to me how you did it, Step-by-step.Evolutionofmankind 20:20, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
Well actually no, I neither know nor care much about organizing user pages, though you might find ideas at Wikipedia:User page design center. As for templates in the regular encyclopedia articles, they can be extremely helpful. You insert templates by putting the template name in brackets like {{Example}}, which would produce the template seen below this message. You can visit a template's page by navigating to that same name, with the prefix "Template:" like Template:Example. Each template's page will often have instructions on its use. Generally Help:Template is a good intro, and if you have a main namespace template in mind, I'd be glad to help. - Draeco (talk) 21:07, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
This is an example of a template. For help with templates, see Help:Template.

Short articles

Hi. Please don't post unreferenced, single-sentence stubs. Thanks.  :) --PMDrive1061 (talk) 19:46, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

The article was only one sentence long. That's grounds for deletion, but I'll save you the trouble of restoring it since you're clearly going to expand it. Sorry for the inconvenience. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 19:49, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

But that's pretty cruel. Most Features articles are started just like that.41.138.180.139 (talk) 19:51, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

  • I did no such thing and there was no "hangon" notice. I went and restored it for you. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 19:54, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
PS: No, featured articles generally start as complete articles. With all due respect, please consider directing your energy at expanding the entry and please mind your tone. Thanks. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 19:56, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Afropedia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Invitrovanitas (talk) 13:09, 29 November 2010 (UTC)

Hello Olusegun,

Are you going to make any decision to moving Cyberphobia to Wiktionary? If no, would you consider expanding the page as an encyclopedia article? Cyberphobia is another good effort from you in increasing Wikipedia data base, thanks.Earlymen (talk) 12:52,08 March 2011 (UTC)
