There are seven telecommunications companies serving over 21 million subscribers[1] in a population of over 34 million.[2] More than 95 percent of internet connections are made using mobile phones.[3]
The total mobile and fixed telephony subscriptions increased from over 20 million to over 21 million yielding an increment of over 1.1 million subscribers (5.4 increase) compared to the 4.1 percent increases realized in the previous quarter Q4 2014 (October–December).[1]
