Roberto R. Treviño is an American writer and associate professor of history at University of Texas known for his book, The Church in the Barrio published in 2006 by the University of North Carolina Press.

Early life and education

Roberto R. Trevino had served as the assistant director of the Center for Mexican Studies in the University of Texas.[1] He studied at Stanford University where he got his Ph.D. degree.[1] His researches has spanned through religion and history which drew his notion for his book, The Church in the Barrio.
