Holy Wood GA

Congratulations on getting Holy Wood to GA – it absolutely deserves it. If you could spare the time at any point soon, I've placed an article I'm trying to get to GA, Panopticon, up for peer review here, and would appreciate your input. It's a much shorter, less involved article about a less famous, less notable album. All the same, I'd love one of those cute little green plus symbols up on the top right corner. Autopedia

Hey, rm. It's Hockeyben from Autopedia. Me and silver still aren't sure what's going on. There's a possibility it will be recovered, but likely won't be. If it isn't, an importing script maybe written to get everything from wikicars (including the spam, sadly but we can sort thru that) over to autopedia. I think once Autopedia comes back online, if we wan't to be able to efficiently bring the site back up to speed, we're going to have to decide on a division of labor. I'm willing to do the backlog of missed updates (and there's A LOT of them). Someone else will have to do new updates as they happen and another one will have to remove the spam that's going to get imported. I've reverted your removal of the pic on the Holy Wood page. I can see your point on the Rock is Dead Tour page, however, on Holy wood it does have a strong rationale for use. According to the license, I can use it to directly illustrate a point about the publication of the image. That point is self-evident on the section the image is in: the fact that the album was an exploration of the roots of violence and entertainment allied to the irony that publications like Time partly blamed him for the shootings and then went on to feature Harris and Klebold on their cover twice, thereby, illustrating one of the album's major points: "the sad fact that America puts killers on the cover of Time magazine, giving them as much notoriety as our favorite movie stars. From Jesse James to Charles Manson, the media, since their inception, have turned criminals into folk heroes. They just created two new ones when they plastered those dipshits Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris' pictures on the front of every newspaper. Holy Wood

Hi

I have noted the comments from the GA and FA nominations, as well as the general comments in the talk page.

The article was considered a little quote heavy, especially I think where a sentence has two or three small quotes: Blah blah blah "this and that" blah blah more blah "this that and the other" blah blah more and more blah "this or that". Perhaps cutting some of these would be appropriate, in general there are a lot of Manson quotes which are superfluous to the text, perhaps they could be added as notes ^{[N 1]} etc.?

If you are not familiar with the format, it is just a {{#tag:ref| with a group added |group=N}}. I added one on this page which you can look at to see what I mean by that User:Bluebonnet460/Chaosdemo

Back then, being contrarian seemed edgy and, even, reasonable - I thought I was practicing critical thought. Now, I can't help but think how wrong I was and I see in contemporary right-wing populism and the Alt-Right the same ugliness I used to believe. Fortunately, that shit didn't swallow me whole. I don't mean to push you or anything... But we really need to get going on the wikicars migration. I know I haven't done much the past week - but I'll be more active on the coming weeks. Lets worry about the 6,000 articles first, unlike last time. And then we can (maybe or not) do the images. Hi, my username is A\/\₉3r-(0la. I just heard that you have to get Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death) to Featured Article (FA) status. Yet, a user named Karanacs didn't promoted the article to FA, but it seems that your last FAC of that article lasted for about a week. Why not do a Peer Review (PR) of the article first, then after fixing all issues found in the article during the PR, nominate it for FAC. Hi again. Whilst as a Marilyn Manson fan I personally find the information in this article very interesting, as it stands I do not believe this article meets wikipedia's threshold for notability. A song that did not chart and did not generate much media attention should not have its own page (maybe it did generate media coverage, I don't know, but the article certainly doesn't suggest it did). I was going to nominate it for deletion until I saw it was you who created it, so instead I thought i'd just give you some extra notice to find some secondary sources for it. Arma... geddon sample.

Hi again. Do you mind if I move to have your sample of Arma-Goddamn-Motherfuckin-Geddon deleted from Wikipedia? I've been trying to replace it with a clip containing the last chorus instead - the part with "fuck the goddamned TV and the radio and fuck making hits I'm taking credit for the death toll" - but there's something weird going on. Every time I tried to replace it, it merely uploads another version of your clip instead. I want to put the new version on the main Marilyn Manson (band) article, just to illustrate exactly how much profanity had to be censored out of that stupid radio edit. Thanks. Holy Wood Redux

Hi again. Long time no see-you-edit. ;) You might have noticed me working on Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death) a while back. I've had it nominated at featured article candidates, again. It was going well for a while. It got 2 supports and has passed its image and source reviews, but the nomination has been inactive for a couple of weeks now and has gone right down to the bottom of the FAC page. It needs 1 more support to be promoted to featured status, but I'm starting to think it will all be for nothing if it stays inactive for much longer. Beyond the Wall (Game of Thrones)

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Brothers Beyond the Wall (Game of Thrones) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Beyond the Wall (Game of Thrones). This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you.
