I am considering editing pages on the following two topics:
Topic One: “Gender responsive approach for girls in the juvenile justice system”
This is a short, existing article that I would like to update. It was originally created as part of an educational assignment in 2014 and does not appear to have been edited since. I would like to add information on research regarding the trauma history of girls in the juvenile justice system in the U.S., especially sexual abuse, and on gender responsive strategies to address this. Additionally, information about the number of girls in the system in the U.S. and the demographic trends could be added to the current article.

Topic Two: “Foster care in the United States”
This is an existing page, off of the parent page “Foster care” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foster_care_in_the_United_States ). I would like to add a section to this page about extended foster care until age 21 in the U.S. I would include research that has outcomes/information by gender. It would incorporate a description of extended foster care as well as a summary of evaluation literature on the topic. Possibly it could be a page added to the parent page “foster care in the United States.”
