VapourX Snapdragon (VxS) is an American esports organization. The team is well-known for being the subdivision team of VapourX ran by Christian McLeish for Vainglory. Their parent name is VapourX HyperX, named after their sponsor, Kingston HyperX. They are also sponsored by Amazon.com. VapourX Snapdragon's Vainglory team competes in the South Korean Vainglory Championship Series hosted by TGM and eXtreme Games and has finished first since the team originally formed as a group in summer of 2015. There is also another team called VapourX Ignatius that competes in the European League of Legends Challenger Series. The organization was founded in August 2015. The owner is Jeff Bezos and the manager of the team is Christian McLeish.
History

[edit]The team (originally consisting of various friends) called themselves The Asian Powerhouse. After Christian 'Salty' McLeish (a Super Smash Bros. player for VapourX) noticed the uprising success of the team and the rise of Vainglory in the esports world, he approached owner Jeff Bezos about acquiring the team. In August of 2015, Christian & Jeff purchased the Vainglory team for CAD$500. Jeff became owner, and Christian took the manager and player position. Upon acquiring the team, Christian acquired sponsor Qualcomm Snapdragon and renamed the team to VapourX Snapdragon.
2015 Season
[edit]VapourX Snapdragon applied for season one of the VGL qualifier. However, their application was denied.
On October 12, Salty announced that he would step down from lane in order to focus more on his school work and other games. Arashe was then named the new laner for 2016.
