[edit]In soccer, a sport that has grown rapidly in the U.S. since the 1990s, Major League Soccer (MLS) is the sport's top domestic league.[1] Globally, the country hosted the 1994 FIFA World Cup, the men's national team has qualified for 11 World Cups, and the women's team has won the FIFA Women's World Cup four times which is the most of any nation. The United States will also co-host the men’s 2026 FIFA World Cup with Mexico and Canada.[2]
