The Pulchraist /ˈpʊl.krə.ɪst/ Party (PP), also known as the Egalitarianist Party (EP) or New American Reform Party (NARP), is a political party in the United States that promotes environmentalism, the abolition of the Electoral College, gun control, the right to an abortion, and egalitarianism.

Name

[edit]

The name of the Pulchraist Party comes from the Latin word pulchra, meaning "beautiful" or "fair". The word pulchra was chosen for the party's name to represent how "beautiful" and "just" the nation can be, although the word "just" is used in the wrong context here.

History

[edit]

Early years

[edit]

The Pulchraist Party was founded by Jayce Fey in November of 2024, shortly after the 2024 United States presidential election, in which Donald Trump became President of the United States for a second time.

Ideology

[edit]

Core goals

[edit]

The Pulchraist Party, in its manifesto, lists three core "radical" end goals for if the party gets into power:

  1. The abolition of the Electoral College
  2. The right to an abortion to be amended to the United States Constitution, and
  3. The revising of the United States Constitution every 20 years

The third and arguably most radical of the end goals is, as stated in the manifesto, "as Thomas Jefferson believed". The manifesto also states that the United States' two-party system is "inherently flawed;" the Pulchraist Party has referred to itself as a "non-party."

Values

Other key values of the Pulchraist Party include:

Symbol and colors

The Pulchraist Party's official color is Reform Purple (#6432af) and its mascot is the mouse.
