This is the user page for an occasional editor in Australia going by the name of M.J.E. (Please note that the user-name includes the full-stop following the E, even though that may sometimes merge with a full-stop at the end of a sentence - standard punctuation rules say that when two full-stops, both being valid and required, become adjacent in text, they merge together to become one full-stop which serves to do duty for both of the original ones.)

I don't really think I have much to say on this page, which is why I have never created it hitherto, despite having been an editor for well over a decade. I have no agenda or philosophy as a Wikipedia editor, but just add anything to articles that I think should be added, or correcting obvious errors, or trying to raise discussions about changes to an article that I think should be made, but I don't have the ability or knowledge to do myself.

I have created a few articles where I saw a hole, in that Wikipedia lacked an article I thought it should have, where I happened to know something about the topic. Sometimes such articles were just stubs that I presumed others with more knowledge of the topic than I had would build on it.

Most of my activity here, in fact, is to make suggestions in the Talk pages, because I may feel an article should be changed or added to, but I don't feel confident or knowledgeable enough to do it myself. In fact, I rarely see others act on these suggestions, so I do wonder at times whether I am wasting my time.

Another editor suggested that I create a user page, because apparently some editors have less respect for other editors who haven't created their own pages. Well, I have no editing reputation to protect or build on, but I thought I might as well act on the suggestion, even though the result is this rather unimpressive description of how I edit Wikipedia.

If in the future I think of anything interesting and relevant to add here, I will probably do so. But, otherwise, I think that's about all I have to say about myself here.
