I was a part of the "Golden Age" of Wikipedia:Featured articles as a protégé of SandyGeorgia. I may have been a bit of a pest, but I upheld high standards for referencing. Crusty old relevant essay: V-challenged.
Among all my efforts, I'm proudest by far of the rather short article on Children of the Stars. a 2007 documentary about children with autism (Chinese: 自閉症) in the People's Republic of China. The documentary focuses on the Beijing Stars and Rain Teaching Institute (北京星星雨教育研究所). I created it on 30 August & finished it about 12 September 2010.
Bengal famine of 1943. Well, what can I say. Literally years of work. At least 5,750 edits. Rewritten from top to bottom, from crap to... well, it's a WP:GA, anyhow. A glowing endorsement by an off-wiki topic domain expert, Paul R. Greenough. Four attempts at WP:FA, each of which was... alas... more absurd than its predecessor. On the bright side, special thanks to those who helped in later stages, esp. Brianboulton and Fowler&fowler.
I'm really very proud of Black Monday (1987), too. It was complete crap. I brought it up to respectability.
