User:Hypatiagal
I am an occasional wikipedia editor and an academic with a Ph.D. in philosophy. I am author of many books published by university presses and also author of peer-reviewed journal articles. My motivation for working with wikipedia is two-fold: one is to help increase the presence of scholars from underrepresented groups in philosophy and political theory (and other cognate fields) on Wikipedia and two is because I'm really interested in the phenomena and massive intelligence of crowd sourcing, especially when it is coupled with the rigorous and democratically agreed to norms that WP has created. So I'm really proud to be a minor player in this huge venture.
I used to go by another name. I switched to Hypatiagal after my anonymity was breached by another WP user.
Under my previous pseudonym I started contributing to pages in early 2014. I stopped for a couple of years and resumed in June 2017.
I prefer to remain anonymous.
