I live in Loanhead near Edinburgh in Scotland. I am a retired minor civil servant. I was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. I am interested in as many things as possible, but you will probably find biography, history and Scotland are where I contribute most. I have particular interests in poets and Browns. Underpinning everything is, I trust, faith in the Lord Jesus. I often visit India.

I have five children - aged thirty three and upwards - and I must not omit my one grandchild, Ingrid!
