Reviewing the Draft of Rahul Mittra[edit]Respected Sir, Around 3 weeks back, I had published a draft on Rahul Mittra and it was rejected by you. I had gone through your comments and I accept the errors in the previous draft. I had re-submitted the article after 1-2 days of rejection with the best possible correction, but it has not being reviewed. I would like you to review the content once, so that I can come across the fact whether my draft is eligible to be a part of Wikipedia or not. I hope you do the needful. I hope it isn't an issue to reach you like this. If it is, do forgive me and I won't repeat it again. Hi, thanks for reviewing my article, I have added lot of reliable article links in the reference to support the biography after the first deletion , Will you plz let me know what kind of details are you expecting Regarding Eleiko[edit]Hi, You wrote: "Please see WP:CORPDEPTH. A company, corporation, organization, group, product, or service is notable if it has been the subject of significant coverage in multiple reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject. It is as simple as that. Resubmitting without focusing on required resources is futile." Eleiko is a market leader, present on 185 markets around the world, partner of three major strength strength sport federations. European Business is a respected German B2B publication and the same goes for Mekpoint. How can you argue that those publications, as well as the sport federations themselves, are not reliable secondary sources?
Hello! Thank you for replying so quickly and giving me an insight on the problem. The thing is Eleiko is one of the leading companies, if not the leading company, in this industry. It has however been hard to find sources apart from blogs, online stores etc and other industry related sites and I figured they didn't "count" as reliable sources. I have also found really good Swedish sources but I was uncertain if I could use those. What's your opinion on that? This article for example (https://www.di.se/bors/telegram/78aac9e4-180c-4410-8e9d-653c04397244) was published in Sweden's leading business newspaper (i.e. the Swedish WSJ or the Swedish Financial Times) and it clearly states that Eleiko is a market leader. Can I use that source? Furthermore, I have no conflict of interest and I wasn't paid to do this (although I wish I was given the time I've spent trying to get this bloody article published:-)), I'm just a keen Swedish weightlifter. I'm uncertain how to sign my posts but I'll try. Zooboy0964
About Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission[edit]Hi, the new page I created was rejected because of 'lack of external references'. Actually I have provided 20 external citations and references. Hi, I read WP:Tone in detail. I have made an attempt to remove all adjectives and phrases that made it appear like promotion or 'advertorial'. I hope it is neutral in tone now. What remains now are statement of facts. There are a few statements on impact of this organisation on the community, which are in the nature of assessments. There are no sources for such assessments in public domain. These have been left as it is because in my view these highlight the uniqueness of this organisation as such and differentiates it from other organisations working in this field. i.e., methodology, holistic view and impact. Where impact is tangible and measurable, I will add some statistics. Where impact is intangible, it has to be described in words, minus the hyperbole or promotion. Did I understand your objection correctly? Would appreciate your feedback. If there is anything needs to be improved with respect to the 'Tone', could you please give one or two specific examples? Dear Hitro, You have recently rejected my article on Sucharit Bhakdi, and claimed as a reason that he is not a notable scholar. That is a very remarkable claim, because he is one of Germany's leading scientist in his field who has won many scientific prizes, as I say in my article. You can convince yourself of this fact by looking at his German Wikipedia page. I ask that this decision is revoked and the page is published. Best regards, RzU78pzy12
Hi Hitro, which facts do you dispute? Then I can add corresponding references. Best regards, RzU78pzy12 — Preceding unsigned comment added by RzU78pzy12 (talk • contribs) 22:38, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
Dear Hitro, The article contains three references for the more important claims made. They are taken from the German Wikipedia and were obviously considered acceptable there. I am willing to supply references for any other claim made in the article, if you tell me which claim you are thinking of. If you do not think that the references that I have provided are good enough, please tell me why. Best regards, RzU78pzy12 — Preceding unsigned comment added by RzU78pzy12 (talk • contribs) 22:06, 8 October 2020 (UTC) Dear Hitro, As I just noticed, somebody else has just published an article about Sucharit Bhakdi, who was obviously better in handling the Wikipedia hurdles. Therefore, this discussion is no longer necessary. Best regards, RzU78pzy12 — Preceding unsigned comment added by RzU78pzy12 (talk • contribs) 16:48, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
Dear Hitro, you will understand that I see that a little differently. The sources for corresponding claims in my draft and the accepted article are exactly identical, which is not surprising, as both were taken from the German Wikipedia. That these sources were not acceptable when they came from me has nothing to do with the sources themselves, but rather with power structures within the Wikipedia hierarchy. You and the other author just have more "rights", while I do not have any. Fortunately, I had already some experience with how things go here, and consequently did not waste a lot of time with a hopeless enterprise. Best regards, RzU78pzy12 — Preceding unsigned comment added by RzU78pzy12 (talk • contribs) 17:25, 12 October 2020 (UTC) Gooroo (Company)[edit]Hi Hitro! Thank you for reviewing my submission for Gooroo (Company). You mentioned that there are not enough in-depth coverage sources of the company, but in the Yahoo!Finance source, the IBM source, BuiltinNYC, TG Daily, Parent Herald, 74 Million, New York Business Journal, and others, Gooroo is the primary subject of the article. I was wondering if you had any advice for what type of other sources you would be looking for? I can also reduce the number of references to the website itself, i.e. primary references? There are other pages on similar companies that have even less sources (e.g. CheggTutors) so let me know what I can do! Thank you again. Hello! We are waiting your next review[edit]Hello, I have wrote an article that has been declined by your review, the topic was Comma Entertainment Just wanted to tell you that I'm waiting for your next review. Thank you for letting me know why it had to be declined. But it wasn't really for the promotional purpose. There are many people misunderstanding about our company as a K-pop agency, and they are always submitting their resume. So we wanted to state the company is 'marketing agency' , not a K-pop agency. Also, our company is viewed & commented through foreign magazines and I thought people should know about our company clearly. We have reviewed other companies like us, which are Cheil Worldwide or CJ E&M They seem to have similar post with ours, and I hope to get your next review if possible. Thanks for reviewing my draft![edit]Hi, I recently submitted my very first draft page to Wikipedia, for The Untokening. I have resubmitted it with citations from big names in the field. NACTO, for example. I do hope you'll take a second look at it and let me know what you think. I'm actually writing because I tried to tag it "transport" and I was having trouble with that. Can you tag it or point me to a resource that will help me sort that out? Thanks again! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:645:100:1D20:C4AF:9372:3A73:C94B (talk) 19:57, 10 October 2020 (UTC)
I did! In which I learned that Wikipedia is case-sensitive. I found help chat! They also helped me look over the updated draft because I wanted it to do well if you took a second look, and I removed the citations they recommended I remove. So now it should have quality citations. Thanks again again! |
