Dorothy "Dot" Cooper is a botanist from New Zealand, known for her work with orchids.
Personal life
[edit]Cooper was born in 1941. She is also known as Dot Cooper and as Dorothy A Cooper.[1]
Career and works

Cooper published Field Guide to New Zealand Native Orchids in 1981.[2] She also established the New Zealand Native Orchid Group.[3]
The orchid Gastrodia cooperae is named after her.[1] She is also credited with the identification of Pterostylis cardiostigma.[4]
Samples of her work are held by New Zealand's national museum, Te Papa.[5]
