Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain is a distinguished professor, researcher, academic teaching advisor, and writer with extensive experience in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector. Currently, he serves as a full-time member of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh and is a Director on the Board of Directors of Bangladesh Communication Satellite Company Ltd (BCSCL).
Education and Academic Career
Dr. Sazzad Hossain received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Portland State University, Oregon, USA, one of the top-ranking universities in the world. His doctoral dissertation in Quantum Computing integrates concepts from physics, mathematics, computer science, computer engineering, and biology. He also completed his Master's in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the same university. His Bachelor of Science in Electrical System Network Engineering was obtained from Moscow Technical University (popularly known as Moscow Power Institute), Moscow, Russia. Dr. Sazzad completed his secondary and higher secondary education at Faujdarhat Cadet College and Chittagong College, respectively. In December 2009, Dr. Sazzad joined the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh as a professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. He has taught various advanced courses, including Introduction to Quantum Computing, VLSI Design, Artificial Intelligence, and Human-Robot Interaction. As a visiting faculty, researcher, and guest speaker, he has shared his expertise with numerous universities and institutes.

Dr. Sazzad's research interests encompass Quantum Computing, Quantum Algorithms, Quantum Entanglement, De-coherence, Natural Computing, Fault-tolerant Computing, Theoretical Computer Science, Nano Technology, Low Power VLSI Design, Reversible Logic, Software Engineering, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Human-Robot Interaction, Renewable Energy, and Solar PV Cells. His work is motivated by theories of Darwinian Evolution, exploring the interplay between quantum mechanical evolution and other forms of evolution. He has published over 50 papers and two edited books in peer-reviewed international journals and conference proceedings. His book "অদৃশ্য প্রযুক্তি" (Invisible Technology) gained significant attention since its release in 2018. Another notable publication is "Programming in C". His recent book, "অদম্য বাংলাদেশ (Adommo Bangladesh)", was released in September 2020.
