Hi :-)
[edit]Don't worry :-), I already have a good opinion about you :-)
My usual motto is ":) Smile and your life will smile back to you :)".
Also I believe that Truthfulness - Compassion - Forbearance are good principles (even more when these are applied together not separately). And from that you might have already guessed it correctly: I consider myself a Falun Dafa practitioner.
I strongly support human rights in general and I'm really worried about the persecution of the more then 70 millions Falun Dafa practitioners in mainland China where the communists [1] still rule by means of terror.
There are over 3000 practitioners already tortured to death . These cases were painstakingly verified by fellow Falun Dafa practitioners who managed to do this and in some cases to get even photographic evidence, in spite the information blockade that the CCP installed. Maybe the best place to find out more about this big tragedy of our days is on FalunInfo.net
Well this is just a little about me.
See ya and I hope you'll have a Great Day and why not even a Whole Great Life :)
Some links that I think are nice:
[edit]- Books: Zhuan Falun main teaching of Falun Dafa cultivation practice and Falun Gong which I view as being an introduction to Falun Dafa cultivation practice, especially if you don't really know what QiGong is for example.
- Video: Falun Dafa practice - Toronto, 2006 I think this is very beautiful
- Video: Falun Gong history - this is 12 minute video, I think it can be called a short summary of the Falun Dafa practice
- Video news: Organ harvesting from live Falun Gong practitioners(1/4)
- Video Documentary: Nine commentaries about the Chinese Communist Party - just in case that you want to know about the context in which the persecution against Falun Gong is happening.
- Video Documentary: What did happen at ZhongNanHai ?
- Video Documentary: Tank Man - it's not related to Falun Gong but it is a clear example on how the CCP behaves when thinks that his power is threatened; shooting unarmed students!?!
- Video Cartoon: TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS (pilot) 22 minutes. when I watched this I was asking myself, can the state go too far if we only follow the rules given and enforced by the state? Can we really afford to forget about morality?
- Book "Poisonous Deceit" - it's about how things are cooked up under the Chinese state propaganda.
- Video Documentary: http://ADecadeOfCourage.com - Four short documentaries made by NTDTV on what is Falun Dafa/Falun Gong, how the persecution began and how it continues even today.
Some quotes, which after a while seems to me that it's appropriate for Wikipedia and the community:
[edit]- "We never really had time to sit back and wonder. So many things could have gone wrong that it might never have taken off, so we just spent all our time explaining how it could work, and persuading people that it would work."
- - Tim Berners-Lee
- "Evil when we are in its power is not felt as evil but as a necessity, or even a duty."
- - Simone Weil (1909 - 1943), Gravity and Grace, 1947
- And based on this let me highlight a warning for the sake of our future. When in power let's make sure that our necessity or duty is not evil, because otherwise we have the power to destroy our future and other people's future.
- - Simone Weil (1909 - 1943), Gravity and Grace, 1947
- “It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends up his not understanding it.”
- - Upton Sinclair;
- Although I find this being a general truth, it is also probably the main reason why people, when not connected to morality, can carry out Brainwashing, Torture and Organ Stealing of the Falun Gong practitioners inside the rule of the Chinese Communist Party.
- Related to this see: Pulitzer Prize Article about Falun Gong: Death Trap: How One Chinese City Resorted to Atrocities To Control Falun Dafa
- - Upton Sinclair;
"Never forget that everything Hitler did in Germany was legal." ... "I agree with Dante: The hottest places in hell are reserved for those who in a period of moral crises maintain neutrality, there comes a time when silence is betrayal."citing Martin Luther King, Jr. |
- “Evil prevails when good men do nothing.”
- - Edmund Burke;
- “Evil prevails when good men know nothing.”
- - This is my updated version, since I do believe that you can count on people with conscience to act, when they know clearly where is the problem and how they can help to solve it. :)
- “Silence gives Consent.”
- And my own quote, which I see as a logical synthesis for everything stated above:
“ | The worst thing that we can do when we see something wrong, is to ignore it. | ” |
