Lead:
-Nice overview; it might go a little too much into detail in the sentence related to scientific names but there's not really another place to include that in the article and I've noticed that's where some other wiki articles put that information
Content:
-in the ecology section it says "common stress;" that seems ambiguous so I would maybe change it.
-in the uses category it says it is used to reduce inflammation and speed up healing; how is this done? is it a cream or how is it applied to reduce inflammation? maybe expand upon this point a little bit
-I noticed there is nothing about a food source for ascophyllum; I would include a part about how they are autotrophs that carry out photosynthesis, the role of air bladders in this process, and the need for sunlight
-up to date and relevant content
Tone and Balance:
-neutral viewpoint and well represented, no noticeable bias
Sources:
-the sources seem reliable and current and links work
-well cited
Organization:
-the sentence structure of the first couple sentences in the description makes it a little bit more difficult to read because although it is correct and readable it's not very smooth due to all the added phrases and where/how they are placed
-mostly concise and easy to read, organization is decent
Images/Media:
-no images added; not sure if they are needed but entire article has two
Comments: This article is pretty solid so well done. Maybe add those other couple pieces of information and cite them, make the 1-2 other smaller changes and you will be all set. Nice job! :)
