Hafiz Abubakar was a former running mate and served as Deputy Governor under Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje when he contested in the 2015 general elections. He was a former Professor in Nutrition at Bayero University, Kano. He was also the former Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology of Kano State.[1]
Education
Hafiz Abubakar started his education at Dambatta Boarding Primary School in 1967 before proceeding to his secondary school education at Government Secondary School, Gwale in 1972. Abubakar's post secondary education began at the Kaduna Polytechnic in 1982 and continued at Queen Elizabeth College London, where he bagged a postgraduate degree in Clinical Nutrition in 1984. He also attended University of Reading for his Masters and Phd.[2]
