According to Livy, with danger on all sides, the senate decided that Marcus Furius Camillus should be made dictator. Camillus nominated C. Servilius Ahala as his Master of the Horse and enrolled all men of military age. [1] He then divided the army into three divisions. One, commanded by L. Aemililus, was stationed in the Veientine territory to guard against the Etruscans, the second, under A. Manlius, was to guard Rome itself, the third he took command over himself and marched against the Volscians. [2]

Having won three simultaneous wars, Camillus returned to Rome in triumph. The Etruscan prisoners were publicly sold; after the gold owed to Rome's matrons had been repaid, enough was left for three golden bowls inscribed with the name of Camillus and placed in the chapel of Jupiter before the feet of Juno. [3]
The inhabitants of Veii, Capenae and Falerii who had gone over to Rome while these wars were going on, were admitted into full citizenship and received an allotment of land. [4]

The temple of Mars, which had been vowed in the Gaulish war, was dedicated by T. Quinctius, one of two custodians of the Sibylline Books. The new citizens were formed into four additional tribes - the Stellatine, the Tromentine, the Sabatine and the Arnian, bringing the number of tribes up to 25. [6]
L. Sicinius, tribune of the plebs, again raised the question of the Pomptine territory [7] and the situation with Latins and Hernici was brought up in the senate [8] however these subjected were dropped when news reached Rome that Etruria was in arms and the Romans once again turned to Camillus.
