My interest as an editor is to correct the complete online anonymity of a 2nd generation Abstract Expressionist painter, working in New York from the 1950's through 1970's. There are some paintings that may reside in collections (Herbert and Dorothy Vogel, the Whitney Museum, Dartmouth College, i.e.) and yet anyone wishing to research the artist would not find information. I am the artist's daughter. David Sawin has been dead for 27 years, and there is no material gain for me or my family, as we do not own paintings that could be sold.
