Lycée Jaccard School was a private residential school for boys founded in 1912 and operated for 62 years by monsieur Marius Jaccard and his family on the shore of Lac Leman, Port de Pully, Lausanne, Canton of Vaud, Switzerland. The buildings were designed by the architect Longchamp. The site included a villa for the concierge, dormitory, dining hall, classrooms, and laboratories. For athletics a swimming pool, running track, basketball court and tennis courts were constructed. On the waterfront a boathouse was constructed for storing racing sculls. The student body was highly diverse in language and orientation with students originating from multiple countries on every continent, the majority being from wealthy important families, sons of celebrities, political leaders and global business owners. Sports were a major part of the curriculum. In 1973, the Lycée Jaccard ceased operations and proposed that the Canton buy the buildings for a gymnasium. On August 30, 1973, the Council of the Canton de Vaud bought the Lycée Jaccard, and on May 13, 1974, purchase and renovation costs of 10,426,000 francs
