[edit]Thanks for taking the articles form the spam list.--Domingo Portales 23:45, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
The Only Ones
[edit]It is not under a spam attack. That link has been there for some time, and is about the subject. The wiki policy states links to discussion forums are acceptable if they are solely about the subject matter. It is. It isn't a random forum. A spam bot deleted it without checking and has now repeatedly delete it numerous times, and another editor is repeatedly removing it in error.
172.201.152.213 15:47, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- Err no, a sysop has been forced to block several IP ranges to prevent this insertion. I don't know if it has been there before, but that bot cannot delete links, only revert (undo) link additions. If you want the link in the article, discuss on the article's talk page. What you are doing is spamming one link. Remember we are an encyclopedia, not a place to direct people to forums, thats what google (and other search engines) are for. —— Eagle101 Need help? 15:52, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
I have tried to get in to dialogue with these editors, but they have refused to reply. What can I do with people like that? Somehow most previous edits have been removed. The link had been there for months - i haven't just put it in. An editor has decided to delete every single network54.com link. I have been reinserting the link because it was deleted with no real reason - it falls within that Wikipolicy as far as I can see. And they keep re-deleting it offering no genuine reason or even checking the link. I understand Wikipedia isn't here to advertise websites, but it is the most active Only Ones/Perrett forum and is a course for news.
172.201.152.213 15:57, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- Show me where you have tried to talk. All I see is multiple IPs used to insert a link, the hallmark of spam. If this can be clarified, that would be useful. Thankyou. —— Eagle101 Need help? 15:59, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
I unfourtunately can't show you, as somehow they have deleted about 2 days of edits somehow. I repeatedly asked them in the edit comment section to check the link and read their talk pages before deleting the link again before deleting. I wasn't even aware anyone could do that, and they have done it twice. After they reverted the edits about 5 times, those edits disappeared. I also left messages on their user page, which they wouldn't repond to and deleted them!
172.201.152.213 16:03, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
Here are several messages on the talk page of the same user:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Shadowbot#The_Only_Ones http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Shadow1#THE_ONLY_ONES
User Betacommand deleted my comments on their talk page, and refused to respond. And the only reason I used different IP addresses was before this user repeatedly marked me as a spammer, whilst ingoring my comments, so I could not reinstate the link.
172.201.152.213 16:06, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, shadowbot is an automated bot, it can't talk back to you. What I would suggest is discussion on the talk page of the article (here). But you can see that at least 2 people have opposition to that link, so it is probably best for you to try to talk it out with those people, rather then just trying to constantly re-insert the link, which only rubs off as spam. —— Eagle101 Need help? 16:10, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
I did leave a message on their normal user account, but they didn't respond there either. I am amazed and disgusted that "Betacommand" can hide his appaling behavior. There isn't any legitimate opposition to the link - it was removed by a spam bot, then Betacommand got in on the act, and then another use reverted my edit as they must have seen the repeated edit reverting. No one with any interest in the subject matter has tried to remove the link. As you are an established editor, would you be willing to add the link again on my behalf?
172.201.152.213 16:18, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, as I said, try to ask on the article talk page. —— Eagle101 Need help? 16:34, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, I just found out the wesbite cvisiontech.com is on the MediaWiki spam blacklist. NishKid64 referred me to you, and I was wondering if you knew why this wesbite is on that list.
Thank you, CVISION

unitedfutures.com blacklist
[edit]Hi Eagle 101. We are on the blacklist. It does not look to me like there was EVER any blatant spamming of any kind what-so-ever. It looks to me like our old (now fired) web company tried to add a very FEW (1-3) helpful appropriate links to a few relevant wikipedia pages. One was a very useful quote page that STILL REMAINS. What I don't understand, is there are other companies similar in nature, adding way more spammy links than we are, and they are not blacklisted. Is it appropriate to ban someone without any warning at all, when less than a few links to very appropriate pages were added? Its one thing to remove a link or page, or dispute it if a moderator says no, but why ban the site if very useful attempts were made to improve the quality of the page and increase the user experience? That is very extreme in my opinion. Can we please have this removed? It is not fair in nature at all. Everything looks to have been made in an appropriate way. RunnerD 18:58, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
- I've never banned anyone, and spamming of any sort is not tolorated. I will double check the reasoning behind the blacklist though. Otherwise I would suggest using m:Local whitelisting to get parts of the site whitelisted. In any case, when dealing with links and wikipedia, I ask you to mind our conflict of interest guidelines. Thankyou. —— Eagle101 Need help? 23:25, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, someone (you)? requested on the metablacklist to have it taken off, and I replied with a Not done. If you have a use for this link as a reference, see m:local whitelisting. This is not going to come off for at least a couple months, that was a fairly determined spam attack, we don't even know if we got all the linkspam that that guy added. Thankyou. —— Eagle101 Need help? 23:30, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
I will ask again in a few months. Again, it only looks like a few helpful links were added. A few were disputed, and a few were changed, all normal things. I still really can't understand the blacklist. I have seen much worse. RunnerD 18:27, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
De-commercializing a Wikipedia Page
[edit]Sir:
Claritas Inc. had its page removed by you a couple of months ago for being too commercial. There was no further explanation beyond that, and we made a second attempt to post a page with edited copy to no avail. It, too, was removed by you obstensibly for again being too commercial. In checking the pages of some of Claritas' competitors, I discovered that their product names are included in the copy and hotlinked to another Wikipedia page. I believe this may be the rub with regards to the Claritas page because our product names were hotlinked to the website for that product. If we were to either remove the hyperlink or create more Wikipedia pages for the product name, could we be reinstated?
Further, do you save the copy that you removed, so that it can be returned to the the appropriate party (me) for editing, or did you delete it all together?
I appreciate your reply.

- No, because you want an article for the sole intent of promoting your product or organization. If someone finds you notable, they will make an article. I would suggest reviewing out guidelines on conflict of interest. Thankyou. —— Eagle101 Need help? 23:17, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your quick response. I also contacted the guy who does the web site for some help in figuring out what happened; he said he didn't spam anyone. He's looking into it. - Sorry, this article. Stretford, in the Sport section. ---- Eric 20:27, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
- I never supposed that wikipedia was a link farm, I'm simply trying to understand why you deleted the links so that I don't make the same mistake in the future.
- Was it the format of the link that attracted your attention? Would it be acceptable to include the links you've deleted as external references? I think they contain useful local information but I'm just not certain what it is that you're objecting to. Is it linking out the main body of the article to another web site? ---- Eric 21:00, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
- Its not a reference, its a link to a particular club, which may or may not pass WP:EL (really give it read :) ). To me that section is reading as an advertisement for that particular club. Imagine what would happen to that article if *every* organization/club had a mention on that page? Then its no longer an encyclopedia article, but rather just some local listing. Am I making any sense? Cheers! —— Eagle101 Need help? 21:47, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for that explanation, I think I'm beginning to understand now. There are two or three other similar references I've inserted elsewhere that I'll now remove as well. :) ---- Eric 21:59, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Just as the comments say, I'm adding official and non-partisan links to US government officials. If you want to help, step 2 is to expand out the 'stub people'. Step 3 is to work on the state government people. Flatterworld 03:57, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
I haven't noticed much of anything at all talked over on that wikiproject. I did find a surprising number of articles (for Reps) that haven't been updated since the 2004 election. Not just the information, but also the links (e.g., using Issues2002 rather than the current url). Flatterworld 03:57, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Ok. I'll finish up New York tonight (so I don't forget where I am), and then post in the project tomorrow. Maybe we can get some enthusiasm going before everyone gets caught up in summer activities. :-) Flatterworld 04:05, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Hi, I've been told to come to you from Ryulong. The reason is is that a Shadowbot keeps reverting my edits to a external website. I firmly believe that the links are very useful, and there should be no problem. But Shadowbot keeps reverting them. The page in question is Shawn Michaels. Look in the history tab, and you will see what he's reverted. He's also threatening to block me. What should I do? Help! Davnel03 09:19, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Message invoving WT:WPSPAM
[edit]Dear Eagle,
I have been a contributor to wikipedia, specifically on the listing of my native island of Milos: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milos . On several occasions, I corrected some existing information (corrected spelling of names of some villages) added missing information (such as additional villages of the island), contributed book references (Prof. Colin Renfrew's notable books) and even removed vandalism, i.e., after someone wrote: "Ellgal imgrant from Kroatia" under "Description".
I have even contributed on external links, by editing errors and removing irrelevant links that would have been considered link spam by most logical people. Lately, however, I have been a victim of persecution by a couple of your editors, namely VSmith and Hu12.
I admit I have not read ALL wikipedia rules and I have no idea how absurd, nonsensical, or self-conflicting they might be (and it sounds as if some of them are) simply because I have a life and no time to read every web site's rules. I try to make decisions in life based on common sense. Invariably, however, I find that common sense isn't very common.
I'd like to submit that you ought to know your enemies, and recognize, as opposed to persecute, your friends. What Hu12 and VSmith have done, is to alienate a contributor and a wikipedia friend through hypocrisy and unjustified power trips. It seems that you were rather quick to respond to Hu12's and VSmith's outrageous accusations:
1) My links are not spam. They are relevant, informative, non-commercial, popular websites about the island of Milos, and therefore appropriate as external links on the wikipedia listing: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milos . To equate my websites with the garbage spammers and vandals inflict on wikipedia is gravely insulting to me, and hurts wikipedia's credibility.
Some of your editors obviously do not know, or have an extremely loose definition of, what spam is. I'd be happy to forward to your editors a few hundreds of the garbage I receive in my personal mailbox daily, in order to educate them as to what spam really is.
2) I was informed that I posted "link spam", and my contributions were summarily deleted. I countered that my websites were not commercial. After seeing my contributions disappear a couple of times, I was informed that I should not be "touting my own stuff" so I stopped. Others, totally unrelated to me on either a personal or business level, on their own free will, have added references to the aforementioned websites, but their contributions were summarily deleted as well. It seems that reason is not the criteria here but rather, some editors' egomaniac agenda.
3) I was notified not to post in external links again, but to discuss the matter on the editor's talk page. What a joke! My concerns were not addressed, I only received laconic responses, my last post there was deleted as well, and I was asked to discuss the matter on some other, different, wikipedia forums. A classic case of passing the buck, in other words.
4) Hu12 posted an outrageous comment on your talk page: "...the spammer (who owns all these sites) essentialy states he will not stop". That's an outright lie. I've kept records of all posts of mine on wikipedia, even posts unscrupulously deleted by your editors, and I challenge anyone to point out where I've claimed any such thing.
With all the time he expended removing my contributions, Hu12 obviously should know better. Calling me a "spammer" is yet another grave insult against my person. Hu12 should be ashamed of himself. So offended I am over this unjustifiable accusation and defamation of character, that I seriously consider this as grounds for a lawsuit.
A comment regarding myself on VSmith's talk page was the I have not made any other contributions. This is of course, not true. I simply have changed ISPs in the past, inheriting different IPs as a result. How short-sighted can a person be, to assume that because I have not signed up with a wikipedia handle, I must have made no contributions in the past, whatsoever?
5) Another outrageous comment by Hu12: "...who is also posting under all the above IP's". This is also a lie, which is as outrageous as it is absurd. Take a look at the IPs in question: In order for me to post from these different IPs, I'd have to travel to multiple locations half across the globe in a matter of a few hours! Again, Hu12 should be ashamed of himself, that is, if he had a shred of decency in him.
It has been other people, on their own free will, adding these same websites under external links, obviously because they feel these websites are worthwhile contributions. I have no relationship to those people. In the meantime, discussion is stifled, and rampant accusations fly. So now, since the supposedly "commercial" character of my websites and "conflict of interest" claims of your editors have been totally obliterated, I'd be curious to find out what VSmith's and Hu12's *new* excuse for deleting the relevant and informative Milos external links is or will be.
In any case, I hereby demand that you, unconditionally:
a) remove any and ALL references on wikipedia to my websites as associated with spam or black/brown/block lists, b) retract any of your submissions to 3rd parties including but not limited to websites, where my websites are portrayed as link spam, c) remove ALL accusations on wikipedia against my person as a "spammer", and d) have an official apology issued to me from wikipedia, regarding the lies of your editors, defamation of my character, and misrepresentation of my contributions.

A Small Favor...
[edit]Hey, sorry to bother you, but I was hoping that you would do me a favor. I wrote the article on "Beautiful Ohio" pretty much from scratch and was hoping that you would take a look at it and tell me what you think. I saw that you were an administrator and were moderating the debate over the "The" in "The Ohio State University" (I think that you definitely ought to have it, but that's another topic...). I just wanted someone with a lot of experience to look over my work and make sure it was up to par. This was the first time I did any serious editing and wanted to make sure I cited everything properly and whatnot. Anyway, if you don't have time that's fine, I definitely understand. Thanks so much for your time. Gbms86 04:57, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

RE: question
[edit]The editors page move goes against a consensus to leave the article where it is instead of moving it to iMPACT, since althoughTNA spells it as iMPACT, their stylized typography goes against MoS:TM. The article was originally at iMPACT, but a discussion was had (and the article fully protected for almost a month at one point) until a consensus was reached. A consensus was reached and the issue declared dead since tempers started to flare. Since the page move goes against consensus, I have been lead to understand that constitutes vandalism. Even MartinBot rved their page move at one point. Take care, Bmg916SpeakSign 03:23, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
Indeed, the dispute that took place over the spelling is shameful, and any edit that goes against the consensus must be treated as vandalism to keep it from stirring up again. -- The Hybrid 03:50, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Then again, I don't even use IRC. I have to say Eagle, that role sure isn't the anti spam project. :) Nice work on that BTW. Prodego talk 04:54, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit]We have the sources, and a few editors have been given the charge of adding them to the hundreds of articles under the scope of WP:PW. We aren't removing the info because it would slow down their work, while still achieving the same result. We are enacting WP:IAR so that we can get the work done quickly. Spam whitelist
[edit]I want to help out at the spam whitelist now I am an admin, but I am doing something wrong. The first entry I added, which seemed to be a perfectly reasonable request, was simonetti.forumscommunity.net, but it just hasn't worked. It is currently at the bottom of the list, and I added it yesterday, leaving it, thinking it may need time to update. I also recorded it in the logs. Could you take a look and see what I have done wrong? Sorry if I am being more of a hinderance than a help at this stage. J Milburn 15:51, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

Sherwood dungeon
[edit]Why was this deleted, it wasn't spam! And there was a healthy number of people updating it. If this page is considered deletable as advertising then every MMORPG page should be deleted. Infact the sherwood dungeon page has more reason to exist than most game pages because it uses innovative techniques to create an MMORPG in shockwave on basic equipment and with short download time. I dno't know if you saw the page at a bad time when some idiot had edited it like it was a forum or it had been vandalised (i moderately regularily re-write it into a more encyclopedic form) but there was no reason to delete this page. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 131.111.247.179 (talk) 09:31, 16 April 2007 (UTC).
Help Me
[edit]Let's say that I am attempting to start a new article, and it is quite lengthy. I have been using the sandbox to "experiment" with the article -- to see how it looks, to format it correctly, etc. But, I understand that the sandbox is a "temporary holding place" -- so, when I log off of Wikipedia, my work is gone (although I save it in a WORD document). Is there any long-term temporary holding places in which I can store my project, and later go back and work on it, until it is substantially ready to post? There must be some way to do this on Wikipedia, I imagine -- since many projects are lengthy and time-consuming to complete. Thanks. (JosephASpadaro 03:38, 22 April 2007 (UTC))
- Sure, add it to User:JosephASpadaro/Sandbox :) Hope that helps —— Eagle101 Need help? 03:46, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. But what exactly is that? And how does it work? Is it a permanent holding place for my experiments? Can others view it? Thanks. (JosephASpadaro 04:24, 22 April 2007 (UTC))
- Thanks. And can others view it? Or is it only accessible (and viewable) by me? Thank you. (JosephASpadaro 05:52, 22 April 2007 (UTC))
- OK. Thanks for the help. (JosephASpadaro 06:06, 22 April 2007 (UTC))

A very Californian RfA thanks from Luna Santin
[edit]Thanks for your support in my not-so-recent RfA, which succeeded with a final tally of (97/4/4)! I've never been able to accept compliments gracefully, and the heavy support from this outstanding community left me at a complete loss for words -- so, a very belated thank you for all of your kind words.
I have done and will continue to do the utmost to serve the community in this new capacity, wherever it may take me, and to set an example others might wish to follow in. With a little luck and a lot of advice, this may be enough. Maybe someday the enwiki admins of the future will look back and say, "Yeah, that guy was an admin." Hopefully then they don't start talking about the explosive ArbComm case I got tied into and oh what a drama that was, but we'll see, won't we? Surely some of you have seen me in action by now; with that in mind, I openly invite and welcome any feedback here or here -- help me become the best editor and sysop I can be.

Yep, I'm finally getting around to it! I should try and steal some more time away from homework to help out with spotlight (oh, the interesting priorities of a Wikipedian). Maybe not the next week or so, but I'm sure I'll manage sooner or later. – Luna Santin (talk) 00:59, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

Porn linkspam
[edit]Thanks for so promptly adding the links I posted to the spamfilter. The person behind it is being very aggressive in adding linkspam today, and I think there's way more addresses which should be added (see the edits for Special:Contributions/209.59.43.242). I'll wait to see which links get put back up...
Question: in such cases as the porn linkspam, how many times should a given link be added and pulled out before you feel filtering is needed? About four times?? Tabercil 05:06, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

Take me of blacklist you have been manipulated.
[edit]Below is a message i left for you on the blacklist page. you have allowed AB and Nposs to join a tag team and sabotaged my site. I have contributed to wikipedia monies and content. It is not the place of these two to act in this. Nposs admitted that he lied about me vandalising a site when I merely removed a full commercial catalogue from a site he defended because he has some sort of relationship with them. I know the site I work in the same industry in the same genre as in they reside within my borough of my home town. Blacklisting me has damaged my search engine rankings and you have done it through mislaid trust. When you make people administrators if wikipedia is there life which for some people it is they lose all sense of perspective
here he admitts that it is nto vandalism. And actually removed my comments about commercial catalogues which is actually vandalism because it is ok for me to talk about it.

below is a quote from other page. When I convince them on one point that they are wrong. They have to find another point this is a game to them. I did a good site far better than most now take me of the blacklist please. Look this is slanders accusations if I want to take off my copyrighted content that I have added to wikipedia haven donated as well I am a real contributer not just an idiot with nothing to do. Do not comment on the quality of my site. There is only one page were i didnt do citation and I explained. that. putting me on a blacklist damages my domains. Nposs you are consistent in your harrassment. I have explained to you many times to leave me alone. You are intelligent enough to understand my content. And my site is full css so hold your tongue. Everyone has to start somewhere and a little respect to donator and contributor to this site. The content deleted was a commercial cataloge that you would find on amazon from an amazon style site. you have a whole catalogue by a commercial company on the nusrat fateh ali khan page it is a kelkoo style advert why cant I just add a link to video content that is not selling anything and it is ok for two full commercial sales driven catalogue that is ridiculous. that content should not be there. And my video content should there is no money involved.
Links to video (your webpage appears to be posting material from YouTube) are only acceptable when you are the owner of the video content. In this case, it appears that you do not own the video content and it is unclear what the copyright status of the material is. As for the other links, there probably needs to be some work to remove the promotional aspect, but a list of videos and recordings (discography) is a valid addition for the article of a musician. Perhaps the external links to the sellers could be removed, but the content maintained. I would also suggest bringing up the issue on the talk page of the article. A mass deletion of content without prior discussion and consensus is discouraged. Please take some time to look over the guidelines linked above and let me know if you have any questions. Nposs 16:43, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
Look my ip is blocked for adding links to a page of video, the page the link was on has full on catalogues for commercial sites if it is ok for them to have full on catalogues which is on no other page then I can have an external link, you can not monopolies the pedia for friends of the administrators. The page in question is nusrat fateh ali khan.
It appears you are talking about this IP address: User_talk:89.241.237.105. If you feel like you have been blocked unfairly, you can contest the decision on that page by adding an "unblock" tag and your reason. The instructions can be found in the block message. You should know that using another account to get around a block is a violation of Wikipedia:Sock_puppetry guidelines and is strongly discouraged. There is no conspiracy here. I agree that the external links to commercial websites are problematic. Removing the links, but keeping the list of videos and recordings is a possible solution to this problem. Please discuss this on the talk page of the article. Nposs 16:58, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

As for the video I am in touch with the channel owner. And I have blocked flow to the site linked from. I will take more care in future, I have offered varied content to wiki over the years. [edit] Warning - vandalism and continued insertion of inappropriate links
The warnings on that page provide an important record of previous activity and deleting warning is considered a form of vandalism. Please read Wikipedia:Talk_page_guidelines for more information about the use of talk pages. Furthermore, you are continuing to insert links to your own website in violation of WP:COI. This link repeats content that is already present in the article, and in fact in part is a word for word copy of the Wikipedia article. Since the page does not properly cite Wikipedia as a source, it is a clear violation of copyright. Pages that violate copyright and do not contain more or different information than the article itself should not be linked according to the external link guidelines - WP:EL. Please reconsider your current pattern of editing.
The page is about the videos not the text, the text is there so as not get bad link from an inappropriate site. As is clear this is about ego. and nothing else. there are hords of links from my site to wikipedia that is enough. respect sent back. Some rules are beyond daft. You have company catalogues on this page so why cant I have a link to an external site that adds. Stop quoting rules and regs. the other sites add content for a fee. which is ok apparently but the free sites that add well we can not have that can we. Get real if you were right in common sense you would not be quoting rules. If i have something to sell then I will add to this section like everyone else
You are welcome to contribute constructively to Wikpedia, but adding external links to your own website does not fall into this category. The webpage you link contains text copied-and-pasted from the Wikipedia article you want to link to without proper citation of the source - a clear violation of Wikipedia:Reusing_Wikipedia_content. The webpage duplicates content in the article making a link unnecessary. The video on the page is scrapped from YouTube and of dubious copyright status - another reason not to link. Wikipedia does not work on a "link-back" model - editors contribute freely without the potential for being compensated through recognition, links, money, or other forms of compensation. I suggest you take some time to understand how Wikipedia works and what Wikipedia is not: WP:NOT. Nposs 14:50, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
Like i said about common sense you keep quoting your rules. and I will keep winning the argument. citation but dont want recognition. hmm. I have explained the content issue and copyright is youtubes issue not yours. And talking about copyright I know for a fact that the catalogue stuff is in massive violation of copyright. Without any of the statutory rights payments being made I know this for a fact. Yet you still have the catalogue which contains alot of other musicians on. FACT dont talk about copyright in the indian music industry. You will have to remove all the dvd and cd selling on this site. And half the other sites have done the same thing on this page. LIKE I SAID this is about ego.

[edit] April 2007
Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Reggae. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Request reason: "Nposs chose to decide the application of wikipedia rules and further to that question the validaty and copyright status of an external site, using that as a reason to pursue and abuse his position as an editor. His reasoning if valid is applicable to other editors who if you used his reasoning put that same position stated about an external site, on wikipedia. This was and is not a question of wikipedia user conduct but harassment on the part of NPoss. I validate this with the statements and reasoning he and yourself have given. In chosing the applicability of rules on different editors on this site. And going further still attempting to apply those rules to an external site."

Basically, here's the issue here. You've threatened to sue another editor. When this happens, we block you from editing, both for your protection and that of other editors, until any potential legal action is resolved. We have to take such threats seriously. If it is something you said in haste or anger, and are willing to retract it, I'm certainly willing to unblock you. However, you still will be expected to work civilly, even with those editors you may disagree with. We have dispute resolution procedures if you and the other editor can't agree, and they tend to produce much better results than cursing and threatening lawsuits. Please leave your response here, I'll receive it. Seraphimblade Talk to me 10:18, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
where is the lawsuit you have been lied to I can not see any lawsuit how can I sue someone I do not know yet. What lawsuit. show me quoted text Nposs is harrassing me and used the lawsuit concept to initiat a ban
That would be this edit, in which you made the statement that you would "sue...for harassment." That's about as clear of a legal threat as they come. Seraphimblade Talk to me 10:56, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

This blocked user (block log | autoblocks | unblock | contribs) asked to be unblocked, but an administrator has reviewed and declined this request. Other administrators can also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy). This unblock request continues to be visible. Do not replace this message with another unblock request nor add another unblock request.
Request reason: "sockpuppetry is a fact of life, no one use static ips.Ip servers dont use them Domain names cost money real money if you blacklist someone and that is used by someone else you are asking for a world of pain. You can not make that list public use your head. My links were and are appropriate I do a sound engineering site geared towards the basics, I added relevant links to topic areas on wikipedia a site I have donated to, and provided content for. Nposs and cronies have taken it upon themselves to block my external links because it was felt my site looked professional. While doing this they have chosen to pass judgement on sites they have no expertise to decide whether or not. It is appropriate. Pedia is all well and good but sometimes people want an overview or geniune depth. I offer both on certain topic areas. Areas that this pedia doesnt get. Example microphones. And being from Trinidad calypso music etc. I want my domains unblocked, I do varied content that is readable. After adding links to wikipedia my visits went up but time per visit went up. While click through went down way down. So my pages where directly appropriate and being West Indian I understood knowledge areas like Dancehall etc. just look at these too links and it proves that my links were appropriate and proving useful. My time per visit will no doubt slide. but for a none commercial site that has donated monies and content, I do not want respect but the disrespect of NPoss and cronies is ridiculous. They have allowed full commercial catalogues to stay on. While links they have removed of mine have been more appropriate. No one wants traffic not interested in content. http://hip hopjazzproduction.com/modlogan/m_usage_200704_000_000.html I have added my links appropriately and I know my domains of content. I have done a specific site. and it has its place in the external links. I am a knowledge engineer I understand what people want and how they want. Everyone has there place. For example you talk about samplers but skim over mpc1000 which are the main thing. In that area.
Calypso music Coming from trinidad my article was pertainent and included technology in genre CarnivalComing from trinidad my article was pertainent and included technology in genre Dancehall I work with dancehall act and your piece did not catch the spirit Hip hop Hip hop production Microphone Case study comparing the main condenser microphones over the main dynamic shure58 it is also described in to detailed away. I work in studios etc. This is not the level of detail people are going to want.
Music industry A list of 90 indsutry contracts, and a list of uk charity status organisation to do with music industry that all artist/musicians have interact with your list was not complete Musical Instrument Digital Interface Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan I manage classical musicians who have recieved awards etc. Record producer Recording studio Reggae Sampler (musical instrument) Synthesizer I could go on and on. I know my domains dont threaten me with blacklisting the fact that you put this project in jepeordy, that I have given money to and content by doing a public blacklist is ridiculous —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.13.255.71 (talk • contribs) 18:43, 23 April 2007 (UTC)"
Decline reason: "You were blocked for making legal threats. Considering that you continue to not care about the policies on linkspamming and threaten to use more sockpuppets, I see no reason to unblock. Denied. — IrishGuy talk 19:44, 23 April 2007 (UTC)" This template should be removed when the block has expired, or after 2 days in the case of blocks of 1 week or longer.
I do follow policy on linkspamming all my links were pertainent. Someone decide my site looked commercial. so decided to block my ips etc. When it turns out they were wrong they went on a harrassment mission without even considering what the articles were doing. It was opinion. If my facts were no good then people would hit back but they dont they stay on for 13mins reading the page. I know my content. I am trained in it —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.13.255.71 (talk • contribs).
Using your IP to get around a block will only lead to another block. Please stop. IrishGuy talk 21:02, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
My INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER doesnt use STATIC IPS. this is a personally attack on me by NPOSS. and cronies HIS points for blacklisting my site which has reduced my rank on google etc. IS a personal attack. Understand this not everyone is honarable. He complained I use you tube on my site. Wikipedia has 150 you tube links. He complained and lied about my reasons for removing some content that was a commercial catalogue. I know the shop been there they reside in my town. And do not pay there artists. It was valid to remove a full commercial catalogue. He knows that it is. I am allowed to complain when someone is blatantly attack me and my site domain. I have contributed to wikipedia. There is no justification to treat me different to others. He slandered my site and has used double standards.
You were warned repeatedly to cease adding the link, kept right at it, spammed across multiple Wikipedias, and threatened to use sockpuppetry from dynamic IPs to keep it right up. Basically, you left no choice but to blacklist it, and you have nothing but your own choices and actions to blame. Seraphimblade Talk to me 21:18, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
There was nothing wrong with my links there were just as valid as others if not better than a lot. he made a mistake on my links looked at one page saw branding and just blocked them all. If you thought one was inappropriate then we argue about it. I took your advice and just added microphone links which was a case study of 6000$ of microphone by an international artist as subject. I had a basic guide 90 free music industry contracts. a better organisations list for music etc. Some things were better somethings were different. But if it was not useful then I would not have had an average of 13minutes visit without click through
Template:Sockpuppetry what is this dont know what it is
Nposs had to lie and embellish the truth to make his point
[edit] Unvalid Points
* Persistent spam additions despite warnings * Use of multiple IPs. This is not in itself wrong, since IPs can change, but harder for us to manage and watch for spam. * Cross-wiki spam * Content deletion to make a POINT[3] * Abusive attacks[4] * Legal threats[5]
—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 89.241.230.45 (talk) 21:19, 23 April 2007 (UTC). Spam has to be useless links all my links were for particular pages all of which I have added to.
Hi Rickie. Following up on some of the questions you've asked, take a look at Wikipedia's Conflict of Interest Guideline -- you're not supposed to add links to your own web site.
Bill Gates does not get to edit his own article or add links from here to his web site. The Queen of England doesn't get to add links in Wikipedia to her site or work on her own article. Ditto for the leader of the Birmingham City Council, his web site and his Wikipedia article. None of the editors you've been interacting with gets to do these things either (one of my own web sites has been widely quoted in its field but you won't find links to it on Wikipedia.)
So when someone keeps repeatedly linking to their own web site in spite of the Conflict of Interest Guideline and in spite of requests and then warnings not to, then that meets our definition of spam -- see our Spam Guideline. If they're persistent and belligerent, then that ratchets up the reaction further.
I hope this helps clear up the confusion. --A. B. (talk) 23:18, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
Everybody does and that has been overlooked It is not a site about me. And you have overlooked people adding catalogues. This is going the next step up. Because you know and understand what nposs has done and have just decided to participate with him. So you admitt to harassment also
