I6 and speedy tags
[edit]I'm curious what you are up to. You have tagged a bunch of images inappropriately with the I6 speedy criteria that specifically says which has been tagged as not having a rationale for more than 7 days. None of these images have been tagged, let alone tagged for 7 days. Is this a case of you accidentally using the wrong template? Because cat:csd is filling up with images, when images have their own subcats. Also, I am confused why, if you think they meet the speedy criteria, you haven't just deleted them yourself (making me again think you simply used the wrong tag). Anyway, just curious what's going on. Thanks.-Andrew c [talk] 00:13, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
For I6, which is missing fair use rationale, we have {{subst:nrd}}. I believe the WP:CSD page lists the proper templates to use. If you come across other images, such as orphaned non-free, or improper copyright, etc there are specific tags for those as well. Good luck.-Andrew c [talk] 00:19, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
about the 2 pics
[edit]Hi, I am sorry for releasing the pics into the public domain. I uploaded the same picture again but this time I use the license of screenshot of a copyrighed game.
I hope that is okay, hope to get a reply soon! =)

Why
[edit]I don't understand why the images must be reduced to a lower resolution when I was the one who took the photos.
- Ah, I see. Thanks. One more question: What sort of copyright is held on the images for the game peices?
- Well there is no tab pull down for parts of board game, etc. What could it be labeled as?

Advice about handling spam situation
[edit]Eagle, you were right about Akc9000. He seems to have settled down and become a productive contributor. I've taken your advice in handling some difficult situations within the Scientology articles, and both sides of that dispute seem to respect me for being fair. Thanks. Features article fair use images
[edit]Given the extensive Talk:Main Page#Fair use image on the main page?, I've been thinking it would be good if we have an easy way to know whan a fair use image is used in a newly scheduled TFA. Would it be possible for Gnome Bot to check the TFAs and when one is scheduled with a fair use image, post a warning in some centralised page that can easily be monitored? I thought it would be easier to set up a bot to do it rather then ask Raul Nil Einne 20:07, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi Eagle, my friend! I don't feel very happy about WP:CSN residing in purgatory. Do you think we can come up with a new name for the board, and perhaps new procedures to address the concerns raised at its MfD? The problem this board can solve, in my view, is long term disruptive editing. What do we do with a user who's been blocked many times but doesn't seem to get it? An indef block is a serious thing, and before implementing that, I think it's worthwhile to have a discussion and explain the reasons. This information should be archived somewhere for future reference in case the user requests an unblock. Does that make sense? If so, were would this information go? If you think this is worth discussion, we can go over to the appropriate talk page and propose changes. - Jehochman Talk 14:26, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
- Jehochman, I'm of the thought that if a user has been blocked multiple times and attempts to explain to them what they have been doing wrong are done in good faith, the user can safely be indef'd. Thats a community ban. As long as one admin is not willing to unblock, its a ban. Let me put it this way, if I were to for reasons unknown, indef you, at least one admin would unblock and give me quite a (deserved) lashing. If I kept it up, I'd probably lose the admin buttons. The point being I don't feel there really is much need for the drama fest that CSN is. A bit of history on that board, it used to be for community wide announcements (like the announcement you made on WP:AN), but it got changed into the Community Sanction noticeboard. ;) Just a bit of history. Anyway I'm willing to talk to you if you have questions. I'm on IRC most all the time and I can be contacted by e-mail as well, or you can chat here. :) —— Eagle101Need help? 18:39, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
The name of the case that you plan to open is Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Paranormal. Will the case be posted at AN? yes. Will the case be posted at CSN? yes. Change the "run" setting to yes to start me

Toolserver archivesearch
[edit]Hi Eagle 101, just wanted to say how cool the archivesearch tool is!!! Seriously awesome. It would be great if two archives on Commons could be included: commons:Commons:Deletion requests (all subpages) and commons:Commons:Village pump/Index/commons:Commons:Village pump/Archive. (not quite sure how we ended up with two...)
Please let me know if/when it happens :) it would be super-useful. thanks!! --pfctdayelise (talk) 14:01, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
