User:DeLarge/Userboxes
I only include userboxes relevant to my editing on Wikipedia. My advocacy of a particular automobile brand, television show, political ideology or sexual peccadillo will not be reflected, as it would constitute a point of view of content.

I edit on a 20" 16:10 wide TFT, although a supplementary 17" 5:4 TFT allows me to check screen widths up to 2960 pixels. I typically check my edits on layouts of 640px, 800px, 1024px, 1152px, 1280px and 1600px, in all browsers. I also browse using an Android tablet with a 1280px or 800px layout (depending on orientation).

WikiProjects
[edit]This user is a participant in WikiProject Automobiles. |
Wikipedia:WikiProject Automobiles is one of the poorest quality WikiProjects; the standard of articles is very low, the participants often conduct themselves in an objectionable fashion, and there seems to be a general lack of awareness of many WP policies (especially WP:ATT). Further, there is a great deal of circular editing, with the same few users returning to the same articles over and over, making tiny, incremental and largely irrelevant edits, often changing their own previous contributions, and never improving any articles.
This user is a participant in WikiProject World Rally. |
I am inactive in the WRC project. After I created twelve pages of WRC seasons, an outside editor implemented a change in the layout which would require rebuilding existing pages from scratch. He offered no assistance himself, apparently expecting everyone else to implement his preferences. Sorry, no. As a result, the project now remains in a mess, with two seasons still undocumented, and at least two different layout styles across the existing articles.
General contribution areas
[edit]Did You Know?
[edit]This user has been a major contributor to 15 articles featured in the Did you know... section on the Main Page. |
My esoteric tastes in subject matter mean that a lot of my authored articles are stubs or stubby. Therefore, rather than planning featured articles, I try to write something just long enough and compelling enough that it can be nominated as a "did you know...?" factoid for the main page. I've had fifteen successes to date:
- Mitsubishi i
- London-Sydney Marathon
- Erica Larson
- Agricultural Bank of China robbery
- Selling coal to Newcastle
- Trip Kuehne
- William Queen
- Webster ruling
- Bruno Sacco
- John Boylan (American actor)
- William Stern (businessman)
- You'll Never Eat Lunch in This Town Again
- Peege
- Phil Packer
- A (yacht)
