I'm working on creating new tables for the List of Metrobus routes (Washington, D.C.) page with the Better Bus network being implemented on June 29, 2025. Currently working on the tables for the routes and route history for all three jurisdictions. Starting this little by little instead of spending a whole day making the new articles. This will take a lot of work to be complete.

Trying to get this table done by June 2025. Decided to start now as this will likely take months to complete, especially with impending work and other things outside editing this sandbox. Any help to these tables from anyone else will be greatly appreciated.

DC Route Source to use: https://www.wmata.com/initiatives/plans/Better-Bus/upload/Resource_2025-Route-Profiles_District-of-Columbia.pdf

MD Route Source to use: https://www.wmata.com/initiatives/plans/Better-Bus/upload/Resource_2025-Route-Profiles_Maryland.pdf

VA Route Source to use: https://www.wmata.com/initiatives/plans/Better-Bus/upload/Resource_2025-Route-Profiles_Virginia.pdf

Rules for editing this table:

  • Don't put any line names yet. WMATA will release the line names when the network date gets closer.
  • Also don't put any divisions yet. We don't know that yet.
  • Try to match the former routings or combinations as much as possible on the Route History tables.
  • Try to also match history from the previous tables on the main List of Metrobus routes (Washington, D.C.) pages.
  • Try to also link all stations, landmarks, roads, and existing bus articles as much as possible on these tables.
  • Lastly, just have fun editing this table. It's not a chore to do as there is a lot of time until June 29, 2025. You can contribute to this sandbox as much as you want and you don't have to do everything in one day. Just do some edits here and there and just have fun doing it. Its not a chore lol.
