What happened
I deleted a large amount of data which accounted for the majority of the article in question (Shinhan Bank). However, I left intact any constructive edits and I was actually removing vandalism (which was the crud that had been added to the article earlier) and I provided a rationale for doing so in the edit summary.

In the Genre Box if you go on the history before this edit
22:37, 29 February 2008 WesleyDodds (Talk | contribs) (33,376 bytes) (Revert) (undo)
you will see on the previous pages the genre box was like this
Grunge | |
---|---|
Stylistic origins | Hardcore punk Heavy metal Alternative rock Indie rock Hardcore Punk |
Cultural origins | Mid 1980s, United States Pacific Northwest |
Typical instruments | Electric guitar - Bass guitar - Drum kit - Vocals |
Derivative forms | Post-grunge |
Regional scenes | |
Seattle | |
Other topics | |
Timeline of alternative rock |
Hower recently the edit has changed and the genre box appears like this
Grunge | |
---|---|
Stylistic origins | Hardcore punk Heavy metal Alternative rock Indie rock |
Cultural origins | Mid 1980s, United States Pacific Northwest |
Typical instruments | Electric guitar - Bass guitar - Drum kit - Vocals |
Derivative forms | Post-grunge |

Seattle | |
Other topics | |
Timeline of alternative rock |
I know its not alot but it\'s a true fact grunge was High during the early and mid-1990s; lower but existent in the 2000s if this continues im going to change that section from 1991-1994 for it is much easier for everyone.

The article was trimmed for relevance. Also, most of the items deleted were self-serving. The \"Accolades\" and information on the newspapers had little to no purpose based on their actual merit.

Is \'penis\' considered an obscenity on Wikipedia (rather than a clinical term)? It\'s entirely possible Simon Amstell really asked that, as he\'s known for his off-the-wall and sometimes very personal questions to celebrities. It could be argued that the example isn\'t needed, but I\'m not sure that this qualifies as vandalism _per se_.

I simply made a very small addition stating that readers should be warned that the article contains bias and may be guilty of a straw-man fallacy. there was no vandalism or harsh language or anti-article statements. I just wanted to inform readers of a bias in the text of the writer.

The List of NME covers is excessively long. I notified on the Talk page I was attempting to remove the earlier section onto a new page to make the list a manageable length. The list will naturally grow again over time due to the newer issues being added at the bottom of the page. ClueBot reverted my attempt to move the earlier section to a new page. Discussion
Clue bot like totally did not mess up. You messed up and clue bot fixed it for us. Im not sure why any one would think a threat to sue a bot is going to make there own actions of vandalism any more correct. In real life if a person spray paints the side of some building and the company that owns the building pays some one to paint over the vandalisms, the spray painter can't sue the paid painter for fixing the problem. And also it just does not make sense to sue a computer program. This is not a False Positive.R00m c (talk) 04:36, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

I edited the 11th Commandment Disambiguation page. The page has many lines from artists/authors/etc where they mentioned an \"11th Commandment.\" On par with the previous entries, I entered a lyric from the Notorious BIG\'s song \"Who Shot Ya?\" He mentions the 11th Commandment as \"Thou shalt not fuck with raw c-poppa.\" Bot auto-deleted due to obscenities. Not a malicious edit on my part, on par with the article.

This article needs to be restructured.
This article is about a process which can form just part of the larger process of creating Synthetic Fuels.
Long discussion of the Fuels themselves and other parts of this such as gassification need to be moved elsewhere.
In particular the section on Environmental concerns is about gassification and the larger Fisher-Tropsch chemistry and not about the original FT process which should not be tainted by having a similar name.
A new article about Fisher-Tropsch chemistry will be created to put some of this material.

ClueBot took off a number of very useful edits, starting with the following:
Ali migrated to Medina shortly after Muhammad. There Muhammad told Ali that he had been ordered by God to give his daughter, Fatimah, to Ali in marriage. For the ten years that Muhammad led the community in Medina, Ali was extremely active in his service, leading parties of warriors on battles, and carrying messages and orders. With the exception of the Battle of Tabuk, Ali took part in all the battles fought for Islam during this time.
There is nothing contradictory here, nor anything wrong. I can be reached at buzzaz@gmail.com in case of any questions.
Thank you.

A list of emerging heavy metal bands that defined the genre in the Seventies referenced Queen. While the early Queen albums were of a hard rock nature, it\'s stretching things a little to call them heavy metal. The art rock sub-genre, surely a better label for Queen, had already been covered by this stage in the article.
The list of metal bands didn\'t contain Judas Priest, an alarming omission even if we were to leave Queen in, so I simply replaced the latter with the former. I\'m sure you\'ll agree, it\'s a change that makes sense.

I altered the phrase
When a person changes their gender.
to
When a person changes their sex.
This isn\'t vandalism, but a valid change. Basically, gender is between your ears ad sex is between your legs. It is incorrect to say that people are \"changing gender\" when they are doing no such thing. People change their SEX in order to make it compatible with their GENDER identity.
I attempted to correct this, to make a tiny attempt at promoting the correct usage of the term. It was definitely not vandalism, nor an obscenity.

Following the England-Ireland rugby union match on Saturday 15th March, Danny Cipriani was quoted as saying on live television (BBC Sport to be exact) \"the f****** one to eight [the forward pack] deserve Man of the Match\". When I added this quoteto Danny Cipriani\'s article - having forgotten to log in - ClueBot reverted it due to my use of the expletive. My understanding of Wikipedia policy is that users are not to censor swear words for censorship\'s sake but to report facts as near as possible in the style of the original source. How is this possible if a collection of bytes reverts every edit of this kind?

An anon user made a legitimate edit mentioning that Sanskrit \"Lingam\" means, among other things, \"penis\" -- a relevant edit on the Lingam page.
Actually as it happens the edit was of low quality, and duplicates information already on the page so I shan\'t replace it. But it seems that ClueBot, which is generally excellent, has a bit of a quick trigger here. I don\'t know if re-tuning it would be useful or not; how often are edits caught by this filter false positives? A possible solution -- requiring a fair bit of text processing, alas -- would be to check the page for legit synonyms for the word in question (\"phallus\" in the case of this page, at least).

There are two identical entires: \"Institutional Brokers\' Estimate System\" - which I have updated to be correct as of today & \"IBES\" which I started updating because it contained misleading information and then I realised that it says nothing that the above entry doesn\'t say.
I think I was attempting a merge, but the IBES entry contains nothing that isn\'t already in the other entry so I simply wanted to link IBES (which should really be I/B/E/S) to the \"Institutional Brokers\' Estimate System\" entry.
So in summary IBES (and if possible I/B/E/S as well) should simply be empty links to \"Institutional Brokers\' Estimate System\" as they are referring to the same thing and \"Institutional Brokers\' Estimate System\" is reasonably accurate as of today....

All the editor needs to do is provide a link to the Internet Movie Database (IMDb); that\'s what it\'s there for.

Obviously the term \"Sucked up\" got misinterpreted.

This is the second time I tried to remove the pro-FYROM nationalistic garbage and was reverted by the bot.
First, the talk page is empty, except for my comment. There is no consensus over what should be or should not be in the article. Second, some guy pieced together entire paragraphs from pro-FYROM propaganda sites and created this article.

This might not have a good basis, but I would like to report a change made on the List of Super Mario episodes article. I added a bit of information under the Super Mario World episode \"Mama Luigi\" which correctly established it as a popular Internet meme for the phenomenon known as \"youtube poop\". Apparently, the very last word of the former statement is considered vandalism, despite its accuracy and exactitude. Now, for anyone considering this to be unacceptable anywhere, take a look at the Video remix article, where a link referring to this phenomenon by its accurate name can be seen. Thank you.

I changed a reference to an old Web log of Piet Groeneboom on the Lucia de Berk case by a more recent reference for the same author (with his consent) which has the title \"Power and stupidity\". This Web log contains a description of a discussion about the Lucia de Berk case, with references to recent articles on it, which appeared in the Dutch journal for lawyers at the beginning of this year. So it is just the title of a reference which contains the word \"stupidity\" and should not be removed!

Another editor inserted a link to a Canadian news report on the latest inquiry into the Robert Dziekanski Taser incident (the subject of the article). This link contains the latest information on this subject, and contains no obscenity that I can find. It seems to me a valid reference for the article, which other editors can use a source of information for articles to the text.

I removed numerous references to mouse brain slice experiments, and toxicity experiments with 1000 times the normal dose on rat sperm, as well as faulty conclusions, which appear to be aggregations of keywords from a google/medline/pubmed search. e.g. Chlordiazepoxide is not neurotoxic, because its neurotoxicity has been mentioned somewhere. It is not a hapten, by being mentioned \"together\" with the keyword \"hapten\" in some development for immuno-assay based urine test. I removed the \"highly abusable\" conclusion, coming from \"being mentioned\" in a report about abuse: The agreed placement wrt abuse is Schedule IV, indicating moderate-to-low abuse potential. I would appreciate if the article doesn\'t become misleading by including a large collection of references to arbitrary experiments, which have been sometime, somewhere and for some reason carried out on some mice, rats, brain slices etc., and may since then have been contradicted or shown as irrelevant by subsequent research. Before including such results, it is necessary to follow the whole related issue over time. This article has imo to limit itself to agreed conclusions, and not to be cluttered with arbitrary excerpts from arbitrary medline and pubmed search results and related research articles. Following those will reveal that almost every such article is matched by another article, claiming the contrary result. My intention was to remove the clutter of such speculations, leading the article back to the pharmacological profile, as reflected in pharmacological teaching books and the FDA profiles of the drugs. Everything else is overzealous.
