Tropical Cyclone Niran is an intensifying tropical cyclone located over the Coral Sea, off the coast of Far North Queensland, Australia.
Meteorological history
[edit]On the afternoon of 26 February 2021, the Australian Bureau of Meteorology reported that a weak tropical low had formed over the northern Coral Sea, offshore from Cape Flattery in Far North Queensland, Australia.[1] The system was embedded within a gradually strengthening monsoon trough stretching from Cape York Peninsula to the northwestern Coral Sea.
