Reflection
[edit]- Critiquing articles: When it came to critiquing an article, I tried to think about what aspects of a topic were things that I wanted to learn more about. When it came to a sport like lacrosse, which is what I decided to initially look at, I realized that there was very little focus placed on girls lacrosse. This was something that I suggested to the talk page that should be added. I decided to add the Team Razor section to the Razor Scooter wikipedia page because I felt that as a sport, it is important to include the team that demonstrates the cutting edge in talent and equipment for the sport.
- Summarizing your contributions: I added the roster for Team Razor and a description of the team. I did this because I felt that the article only really focused on the scooter as a toy and not as something that could in fact have competitive elements to it. This for me gave the article much more information as to where readers can turn to for more information regarding the different aspects of a relatively young sport.
- Feedback: I did not receive any feedback from other Wikipedia editors
- Wikipedia generally: I learned that there is a much more thorough process that goings into the editing and evaluation of a wikipedia article. I feel that this assignment was important because it gave me a lot of insight into how I can evaluate articles that I find on wikipedia as being more credible and reliable versus articles that lack a lot of well cited content.
