SRVC (pronounced ‘service’) is a London-based womenswear fashion brand founded in 2021 by Masha and Ricky Wesley Harriott. The brand is recognised for its focus on futurism in womenswear and for creating flexible styles designed to meet the evolving needs of women’s wardrobes.[1] [2]
Designs
[edit]SRVC’s design philosophy emphasises innovation and functionality, often described as having a “hyper-futuristic edge.” The brand aims to adapt traditional pieces, such as blazers, to better suit contemporary needs. For instance, SRVC blazers feature incisions in the seams that allow them to be belted at various points, creating different silhouettes. Modular details, such as removable shirt cuffs, are also incorporated to enhance versatility in styling. This approach seeks to create designs that create a symbiotic relationship between the wearer and the garment.[3] [4]
Notable Collections
[edit]For the Autumn/Winter 2024 collection, SRVC transformed London’s morning commute into a fashion show. Models dressed in body-hugging looks with cinched waists and statement shoulders navigated the narrow staircases of three typical London double-decker buses parked outside the Senate House's 210-foot Portland Stone facade at the University of London.[5] Creative Director Ricky Wesley Harriott stated that the collection and its themes were rooted in his lifelong relationship with London and its residents. The presentation received acclaim from the press for its unique format. [6] [7]
The collection included tailored suits with boxy proportions and cut-out detailing, pinstripe shirts reimagined as dresses and miniskirts, and a woollen two-piece set with cinched waists and off-centre buttons. Other items featured lace body-hugging jumpsuits, satin-like two-pieces with cut-out detailing, and knitted denim skirts with backless maxi dresses featuring thigh-high slits.[8]
SRVC’s work was also exhibited at the 40x40 Exhibition organised by the British Fashion Council during London Fashion Week 2024. This exhibition was a retrospective showcasing 40 emerging talents and fashion brands from London.[9]
