About me
[edit]I am the Science Coordinator with Communication across the Curriculum (CxC) at Louisiana State Univeristy, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where I assist undergraduates in improving their communication skills. I completed my doctoral degree in biological sciences with an emphasis in disturbance and invasion ecology. My research focused on how fire influences Japanese climbing fern (Lygodium japonicum) in a restored longleaf pine Longleaf pine savanna. I also investigated the role of animal and windstorm disturbances on plant communities within the pine savanna. Currently the instructor of HNRS 2000, Under a White Sky.
I also enjoy listening to Wikipedia edits.

[edit]To mark each article the subject of a student project, add a banner at the top of the talk page for each article. The following code is an example. Be sure to change the course name and term for the specific course.
- {{ WAP assignment | course = Wikipedia:United States Education Program/Courses/Conservation Biology (Kyle Harms) | university = Louisiana State University | term = 2012 Q3 | project = }}
Be sure to edit appropriately for your particular course.
This will result in the following banner (and make the articles easy to track):
