My work on Wikipedia is committed to employing my academic and editorial expertise in improving entries, and to writing articles on important but under-emphasized social theories.
My research is on the trajectory of social thought among and immediately after the May 68 generation. One of the most interesting developments is the divergence between those who gave up any pretense of large scale social projects in favor of critique and micro-struggles, and those who tried to rescue the nineteenth-century projects of social alternatives and institutional transformation by reinventing social theory. The circumstances on how and why this happened is at the core of my research.
Articles I am currently working on and developing:
- Roberto Mangabeira Unger
- False necessity
- Formative context
- Negative capability
- Empowered democracy
- Passion: An Essay on Personality
- Critical legal studies
