Anila Çepani

Anila Çepani (Sema) (born May 5, 1976) is an Albanian linguist, Associate Professor, and expert in syntax and computational linguistics. She is affiliated with the University of Tirana, Faculty of History and Philology, where she lectures on subjects such as syntax, computational linguistics, and academic writing.

Early Life and Education

Anila Çepani was born in Albania. She pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Tirana, earning a degree in Language and Literature for high school teaching (1995–1999). She later completed her master's degree (2003–2005), specializing in Albanian morphology. In 2011, she earned her PhD in syntax, focusing on anaphors in the Albanian language. Çepani was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2015.

Academic and Professional Career

Çepani has held multiple roles in academia and research. She began as a scientific researcher at the Academy of Sciences of Albania and the Center for Albanological Studies. Since 2011, she has served as a lecturer at the University of Tirana, teaching syntax, computational linguistics, and Albanian language culture.
