Political Lists
[edit]"Governance is about satisfying the needs of the people. This makes local government highly influential since it is basically practiced at the grass-roots level”.
– Debrah on the importance of Local government in nation building during his maiden visit to the Kpone Katamanso District Assembly on 24 April 2013.[1]
National Sanitation Day
[edit]In his stint as Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Debrah achieved national fame by successfully transitioning the Ministry into implementing a novel ‘National Sanitation Day’ Programme under which the first Saturday of every month was devoted to a clean-up campaign throughout the whole country.
Mohammed is a player who fits our profile well. He is young and has a great amount of potential, but he is also someone who has the qualities to come in and help the team as soon as he is up to speed with our way of playing
– Ralph Hasenhüttl hailing Salisu after signing him from Valadoid[2]
Vehicular movement was stopped during the sanitation hours of 6.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. and shops and offices were closed during the period.[3] Through the sucess of the programme, Parliament of Ghana sought to adopt it by enacting a ‘National Sanitation Day Bye-Law’ as a Model Bye-Law for adoption by all Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (Local Authorities). [4][5][6] [7]
Personal life
[edit]A native of Obomeng Kwahu, Debrah is married with two children.[8]Debrah spent 18 years of his working life in the Real Estate Agriculture sector.[citation needed]
