The Chor Gumad was built during the reign of Firuz Shah Tughlaq.

The museum is housed in two Bahmani tombs.[16]

The museum was established in 1964.[16] It was expanded in 1997 when a third gallery was added.[16]

Galleries

The museum has three galleries. Two galleries are located in the tomb buildings.[17] The third gallery is located in a newly constructed building.
