Tko to tamo pjeva? (English: Who's singin' over there?)[2] is a Croatian television mystery music game show based on the South Korean programme I Can See Your Voice. It premiered on Nova TV on 15 March 2024.[3]

Gameplay

Presented with a group of nine "mystery singers", a guest artist and a contestant must attempt to eliminate bad singers from the group without ever hearing them sing, assisted by clues and a celebrity panel over the course of six rounds. At the end of a game, the last remaining mystery singer is revealed as either good or bad by means of a duet between them and one of the guest artists.[4]

The contestant must eliminate one mystery singer at the end of each round, receiving €500 if they eliminate a bad singer. At the end of a game, the contestant may either end the game and keep the money they had won in previous rounds, or risk it for a chance to win €5,000 by correctly guessing whether the last remaining mystery singer is good or bad.

  1. Playback (Croatian: Ponavljanje)
    Divided into three groups of three mystery singers, each of them have to perform a lip sync of their own. At the conclusion of performances, the contestant eliminates one mystery singer from each group.
  2. That's me! (Croatian: To sam ja)
    The guest artist and contestant are presented with a video package containing possible clues by one of the mystery singers of their choice.
  3. Secret studio (Croatian: Tajni studio)
    The guest artist and contestant are presented with video from a recording session by one of the mystery singers of their choice, but pitch-shifted to obscure their actual vocals.
  4. Muted video (Croatian: Ima slike, nema tona)
    A muted video by one of the mystery singers of their choice that reveals only 0.3 seconds of their singing voice is played as an additional hint.
  5. Voice switch (Croatian: Glasoboj)
    The mystery singer lip syncs to the good singer's recording, then a bad singer's recording comes in the middle of the performance.
  6. Interview (Croatian: Intervju)
    The guest artist and contestant may ask questions to the remaining mystery singers. Good singers are required to give truthful responses, while the bad singers must lie.

Production and development

Prior to the launch of Una TV [sr][a] on 21 December 2021,[9] the Una World Network and Videostroj has initially planned to produce a multi-country adaptation of I Can See Your Voice (in the former Yugoslavia) in September 2021.[10][11] In the end, the participating countries decided to produce separate local adaptations of the said show, with United Media acquiring in January 2024, including with production duties assigned by Serena Productions.[12][13]

Naming

The show's title Tko to tamo pjeva? (English: Who's singin' over there?)[2][12] comes from a subtitle actually used for its recently aired second season [hr] of RTL's show The Masked Singer [hr].[14][15]
