Tianjin Nankai Hospital

Tianjin Nankai Hospital,also known as Tianjin Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, was formerly the Tianjin Employees Hospital of the Pingjin Clothing Factory of the Joint Logistics Command of the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China, which was founded in 1947. It is a Class III A hospital featuring the integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine, affiliated to the Tianjin Municipal Health Commission.

In 1949, after the PLA took over, the hospital was renamed the North China Military Region Logistics and Quartermaster Department Staff Hospital. In 1957, the hospital was transferred to the local management of Tianjin and renamed Tianjin Nankai Hospital, which was affiliated to the Tianjin Health Bureau.In September 1995, Tianjin Nankai Hospital was recognized as the only Grade-A tertiary hospital in Tianjin that combines traditional Chinese and Western medicine for treatment.[1] In 1997, Tianjin Nankai Hospital added the name of “Tianjin Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine”.[2]
