Conforming to Navbox style guidelines

To understand my recent edits, see WP:NAVBOX. Here are the guidelines with the corresponding edits:

Navigation templates are not arbitrarily decorative: removed large image, which consumes reader bandwidth for no purpose; rm grey box around title
Navigation templates provide navigation within Wikipedia: removed external links, header about founding, redundant links
Navigation templates provide navigation between existing articles: removed unlinked text
