- I oppose this change because a video game clone is "very similar to or heavily inspired by a previous popular game or series." That is not the case here. All of the games listed in the template use the Wolfenstein 3D engine. They are not clones of Wolfenstein 3D. The Isle of the Dead (video game) article doesn't mention any similarity to or inspiration from Wolfenstein 3D. The Nitemare 3D article mentions similarity to Wolfenstein 3D, so yes, it may be considered a clone. But that's just one. Are they any more? --Geniac (talk) 21:58, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

- This is not a argument, because I proposed to change the title for clone and not engine-only. And yes, the engine ones can be considered wolf 3d clones too (this is a inclusion term, not the opposed).

- Isle of the Dead have a clear and visible similarity with Wolfenstein 3D mechanic. You can hear the same "clone" reference here (only for example): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhTO489L-ew

- If this is the case, why not include Nitemare 3D? Yeah, can be the only one or two, I don't see any problem with this.

- On the sandbox, I added in Ken's Labyrinth and Pie in the Sky. Ken Silverman specifically stated that Wolfenstein 3D inspired this engine, as did Kevin Stokes of Pie in the Sky Software for his engine. I do not know of any specific reference that Isle of the Dead was inspired by Wolf3D, even if it is highly likely. Technopeasant (talk) 22:56, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
