The Family portal was recently deleted. I've removed the red link from the template. BlackcurrantTea (talk) 10:22, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Freeform

[edit]

I see frequent reversion of the addition of the Freeform channel to this template. I don't see any discussion. Thought discussing a frequently made addition might be a decent thing to do. BusterD (talk) 01:01, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As the network's format has completely shifted away from family programming (the addition of Family Guy and The Office reruns during its daytime schedule makes this self-evident, along with its original programming having long abandoned TV-G/PG standards) and its rebranding all but complete, the removal is appropriate and justified. Thanks for the explanation. We might establish a consensus here before the page protection expires... BusterD (talk) 01:28, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
While Freeform certainly isn't a family-oriented channel, it's multi-name predecessor certainly was. Since there (apparently) isn't a separate article on that predecessor, shouldn't it be listed under "Defunct", and be linked to Freeform, with the navbox added to the article? Assuming good faith, that may be why it's been repeatedly added to the navbox. BilCat (talk) 01:56, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I thought of that before writing this up and I'm agreeable to that; it's just not the current-day format. I know there's a historical article so I'll put a link to that. (also did a minor bit of spell correction, didn't change anything else!). Nate (chatter) 02:05, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
