Great work. Why is Bloodhound (Camper & Nicholsons, 1936) not included? Nuttyrave (talk) 19:39, 23 July 2010 (UTC) Why is King George V's Britannia annotated with a star to indicate it was not a royal yacht?Nuttyrave (talk) 15:21, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It was a Cutter. --Philip Stevens (talk) 16:45, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
As far I understand, the Britannia was a racing yacht, used solely for the King's good pleasure in 1920s.Nuttyrave (talk) 17:02, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That's right, it wasn't a Royal Yacht like HMY Britannia. --Philip Stevens (talk) 17:40, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Seriously, you have to explain what differentiates a yacht from a yacht in plain English. Do you intend to say that the royal yachts without a star were used for official state visits? This is an encyclopedia, you have to be specific!! Nuttyrave (talk) 18:16, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

HMY Prince Philip

[edit]

@SmartyPants22: - is there any reason you removed my addition of Prince Philip when you reverted the IP? Mjroots (talk) 15:23, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Mjroots: Yes, for the same reason that I made HMY Prince Philip a redirect; the fact that it’s completely based on rumours, with no form of confirmation. If any official word is released, we can just turn the redirect back into your article. Best wishes ― SɱαɾƚყPαɳƚʂ22 (Ⓣⓐⓛⓚ) 17:01, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I might have been a little premature, but there are many RSs reporting this. I can wait for the official announcement, I suppose. Mjroots (talk) 17:03, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
