conspiracy theory article
[edit]I'm questioning whether this template should include that article. It's a fringe theory and we're giving it huge prominence and implying there's an authentic concern by including it on this template. —valereee (talk) 18:49, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose —valereee I agree with your hesitation. Firstly, Obama was born in Hawaii, which had recently become a state, and became president, so GOP kept propagating the birther movement he wasn't born there to plague Obama and his presidency. Harris is born in California, so the Harris birth conspiracy theory has zero foundation compared to the birther movement. Secondly, unlike then, no one in the news reports on the Harris theory, so it has no notability under WP's guidelines, and putting it in the template would give it undue weight. Thirdly, it doesn't even have enough info to warrant its own article [1] Phillip Samuel (talk) 18:35, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
Photo Used
[edit]Howdy. As per the usual standard, I changed the photo here to Kamala's newest official photograph. That has been the general standard for the 8+ years I've been editing. @Tartan357: reverted that change. Is there any reason why we should make an exception to the usual rule here? PrairieKid (talk) 01:12, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
- PrairieKid, it's not her official portrait. Regardless, can you provide a consensus link for this "rule" that you're talking about? ― Tartan357 Talk 01:26, 18 February 2021 (UTC)

Should you guys edit the 2020 VP campaing to update the recent Biden/Harris reelection camapign, like:
Vice presidential campaings: 2020 (selection-convention-election)/ 2024
- Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Create 2024 vice presidential campaign article first then write in wikitext how exactly you want to change the template. Lightoil (talk) 02:18, 28 April 2023 (UTC)
