What is the right target for Sites: Google

[edit]

I just undid the change that User:Woohookitty made earlier today (2:44 1 May 2011). That change made the target for "Sites: Google" the article on "Internet censorship in the People's Republic of China". I put this back so that the target is "Google and censorship". My thinking in undoing the change was threefold: (1) that censorship of Google is just one small part of the much longer article about Internet censorship in China, (2) that the Internet censorship in the People's Republic of China already has a "country" link earlier in the same navbox, and (3) going directly to the Internet censorship in China article skips important issues related to Censorship by Google that involve more than Google's behavior in China.

I agree that the current Censorship and Google article is a little odd. It might make sense to rewrite and combine the Censorship and Google and Censorship by Google articles to cover both "by Google" and "of Google" and to include a China specific discussion there. Or it could make sense to add a sub-entry of "Sites: Google (in China)" similar to the entry "Country: China (Hong Kong)". But it would be better if the link could be to something specific about Google in China and not to a general article on China that mentions Google in several places.
